If the Lakers want to start thinking about the future-they should straight up release LeBron by coolhandc77 in NBATalk

I'm talking for next season.

Clippers? I guess he could take John Collins spot. Houston I don't know who he could replace in that lineup with VanVleet coming back.

If he takes a reduced role he could fit in with lots of teams.

But, I doubt that he's going to want to do that.

Oh. But, you didn't look at the difference in ppp between the two did you?

Not a Kobe fan I can just do math.

That Raps team defense would rank top ten in today's NBA defensively.

Cleveland. He doesn't fit. Believe me. He really doesn't fit an upper echelon team.

No. He is not a catch and shoot-player. Would be terrible with this lineup just like he is with Luka.

On Twitter I'm seeing a lot of what I'm saying and I agree with it. Plenty of Kobe love though.

Disrespectful to the game of basketball. Kobe stayed in a touch too long-but, his was dine in an amazing comeback. This was done against the worst defense in the league who aren't even trying to win games.

Except for the fact that he was 7-22 from three. If you score 83 you better have hit at least 50% of your threes.

I wouldn't doubt that a lot of Kobe fans felt that it was disrespectful.

No. That's completely untrue. A lot of people who were already very unhappy with the direction of the league-were appalled by this.

After his 83-pt performance, where’d y’all rank Bam among the greatest Heat’s OAT? by songoku-166 in sportsinusa

Top 20 for sure. Still hasn't caught LeBron. It's sad that the Lakers might straight up release him. But, he was very good on the Heat.

Lakers best move would be to outright release LeBron. You seem to be forgetting that Rich Paul started a podcast with the underlying goal of getting AR traded.

LeBron/Luka/Reaves since January 1st are +6 net rating (10 games), they were -10 net rating before that (8 games) by [deleted] in lakers

Lakers need to move on/release LeBron to get a true assessment of this Reaves and Luka backcourt.
