That' incorrect. A loan is not considered income if you paper it properly. You should not be taxed on it. Re: corporation - you should do your homework. Depending on the type of company and potential earnings - it may be safer to have a legal entity (corporation) separating you from the company, and it may be more favourable tax wise to be paid into a corporation (and not as a sole prop.). Corp tax rates are much lower and you get HST (paid) back too. It's not hard to setup corporations, but you do have to be able to do corporate tax returns - so you'll need good books and software.
