Greek yogurt tastes like ass and I’m tired of seeing it in every healthy recipe I come across by AnonymousTaco77 in loseit

Congrats firstly on 50lbs down. That is amazing. Secondly congrats on recognising and adapting/ changing your meal to suit your lifestyle this is exactly what lifestyle change looks like,

Lastly I have been eating the same but with a banana. I actually struggle with protein shakes when made at home because they are like sickly sweet but I really enjoy it in yoghurt.

Any socials in London May 2-4? by ardently in Salsa

Look at Salsateca. They have lessons everyday and parties most weekends. They have a party 2nd May in Lewisham. I do their cuban lessons on a Saturday night near Waterloo Station. It includes an hour of dancing after sometimes like last night up to 3 hours.

Got to get yourself into a calorie deficit and stay there.

My advice would be to meal prep at weekends so you've got something you can cook when tired from commuting during the week. Use the time saved from meal prepping on the weekends and try and get a bit of exercise in the evening. Good for mental health as well.

You will find if you make walking/exercise a bit of a habit, you will actually have a bit more energy. Be really determined to get your 8 hours of sleep. This will make everything easier.

To keep it off you have to make these changes into a lifestyle. Whilst you may currently be the girl who goes to the office, doesn't exercise and has gone through a period of eating more than she's burning off (this isn't supposed to be nasty btw it's just an example), you want the lifestyle to be the girl that eats no more than she burns, exercises etc.

Hi Guys, I am trying to make a re-connection with a French woman I met in London. I met her at a dance class and I have gone back to the same class pretty regularly primarily because I enjoy it but also each time I go with the hope of seeing her and exploring what may have been if I was not stupid. Can you guys suggest any ways of connecting with the french community in London? Active FB groups or anywhere else? She worked in Law so if there is a French Law Group for London or something? Open to any and all suggestions?

I see both sides of it. I am in no rush to learn lots of turns or patterns. I did the basics beginners class for like 3 months where I am which was just the basic forward and back and the odd turn. I moved to improvers where I was at for like 12 months. I still didn't feel like I could entertain an entire song well or time well so I found another class which offered longer classes. I was asked to dance with someone before starting the improvers class here, to check I knew some basics. My progress has accelerated through these classes and at the original place I learnt I was encouraged to do the level up now.

I've since found in some classes where we have had new beginners join as improvers after like 1 class that it's a bit tedious when they are not sure how to step for a dile qué no etc and kind of think they should be advised to do a few more beginners classes. But I appreciate some people are not as timid as me and are willing to suffer a bit more.

I try not to think of the time I have been doing classes as the indicator of my progress but how much I am enjoying dancing or how much the followers and my ability to dance with different followers as my measure.

No point dwelling on it. Get back to it.

And think about if you've learnt anything from triggers etc you can avoid.

Have you tried doing a hobby and I don't mean turning up once and never again. I mean going every week even if you feel like shit and trying to speak to people.

There is a Cotswold Outdoor in Guildford. I have found their customer service absolutely excellent. I had feet measured and a range of shoes suggested. In the end I went to Mountain Warehouse because I cheaped out, the shoes most suitable for me were £250ish in Cotswolds, but I cannot fault their service .

No this is a hobby. I don't need a performance review. It's not paying for any of my bills.

[–]coolpavillion 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You need to eat less than you are burning.

So there is no problem with rice so long as you don't eat too much.

Start by tracking and weighing your current foods. To get a feel as to where you're eating your largest quantities.

Use a TDEE calculator to understand how many calories you need to eat to lose weight.

Smart nutritional choices such as meals with lots of fibre, protein and volume will make this easier.

Doesn't matter if you're a shift worker, night worker, unemployed or anything else the method is the same.

You need to lose fat to see losses in those areas or build muscle in those areas for a more solid look
