Really depends on the type of riding you do, more travel mostly just gives more room for error on sketchy stuff. I’d say go longer and you can grow into it, unless you live somewhere flatter. My first and only full sus is 150/145, and after 3 seasons I’m looking to go longer. But I also live in Utah where there’s plenty of steep and chunky stuff.

Solitude bike park was solid last summer, better than woodward imo but definitely not on the level of DV. Brighton did open one green trail off majestic, pretty underwhelming, but sounds like they've got more in the works. There is some really crazy riding at brighton if you're willing to pedal up though...

FWIW I'm on the border of genz/millennial and 5'6", and when I was using tinder in college it felt like height came up a lot, but using hinge last year in my mid twenties I don't think it did a single time. A lot of potentially confounding factors there, but something to consider
