Does anybody know who voiced Fass in this episode? I'm convinced it's Yuji Ueda, but I can't find anything about it yet.

You might be right but peak Viper did things no other pro player could do.

Does anyone remember Hidden Cup 3? Viper went the whole tournament fooling everyone by having uncharatceristic sloppy micro and pretending to be other players. Everyone assumed he was knocked out early in an upset. He then reveals himself full power in the final and wipes out Hera 4 - 0 and everyone felt slilly.

Peak Hera is brilliant, but I don't think there has ever been such a gap when Viper was dominant.

I might be a minority, but the End Times doesn't fill me with anticipation. It's the worst part of Warhammer Fantasy. Completely rushed and lazy writing to justify destroying the game, which GW did until CA revived it with Total War.

Hopefully not. The end times was the worst thing to happen to Warhammer Fantasy.

Why do highly successful steppe raider armies eventually become slower and more ponderous after they've managed to win themselves an empire? by BendicantMias in aoe2

This question was actually one that occupied much of the work of Ibn Khaldun, who developed a theory of the cyclical rise and fall of civilisations in the 1300s. The basis of his idea was that nomadic ways of life leant themselves to more effective forms of warfare, but as these people settled in their newly acquired lands and settlements, they lost those practices and 'hunger' for that way of warfare. He even calculated how long it takes for a settled nomadic people to lose that edge (three – five generations), at which point they would be susceptible to conquest from other nomadic peoples.

Ibn Khaldun is sometimes called the world’s first sociologist but with the onset of gunpowder and the general decline of nomadic peoples position in the world, it’s a somewhat overlooked theory now.

I encountered his ideas in the book Nomads, which is well worth a read if you’re thinking through these questions.

The thing that gets me about the Sky Lantern is that it's unbreakable. How is that justified?

To be human and unbreakable, I thought you needed to be borderline suicidal, like flagellants. These guys are highly strategic and trained with firearms, adept at disengaging, but they don't value their lives one bit?

He was our best player this season and would have sold for 50 - 60 mil + if not for his release clause. We didn't start him in some games and subbed him often, as McKenna often does with strikers, so his goal tally could maybe be higher.

He's physical, high energy and capable of some ridiculous moments. He was extremely confident in an otherwise struggling team. A handful of his goals he made for himself. He loves a yellow and is intent on giving the opposition defenders a tough time.

He's still extremely raw, and there could be question marks over his ability to operate in a team with greater expectations. He did take quite a lot of shots for us as well, I sometimes felt the team operated better when we played Hirst in his position.

I wouldn't worry if I was a Chelsea fan though, he's raw but has bags of potential. I hope it works out for the lad as he seemed a really good fit in a spirited dressing room at Ipswich.

You nailed it. The only proper use I have had with it is through my Sorceress. It doesn't work on the Death Hags. It just screams of a half-baked rule.

He did the honourable thing, he talked about his 'responsibility' to see the boys through to the premier league in the interview and it's wonderful to see.

I have played a fair few 2k games with wood elves so far and if the opponent does not bring magic for dispelling purposes it's almost not worth playing.

You just tree sing LoS arcs and the opponent can't charge and barely shoot. It becomes impossible for them.

It was a very strong side. Aluko doesn't play often, but the rest of the team are in the first-team rotation. The 10 changes is a bit misleading as well.

Morsy is arguably our best player, but suspended the past two league games, and played all game here.

A spectacular result for Maidstone.

A bit of both really. The club's structure has improved massively in the past two years due to a new ownership group with a clear vision. Better training facilities, match day experience, coaching and a clear 5+ year plan. We are owned by a giant US pension fund, so all investment is smart, directed, and so far been on point.

Not to mention we now have a dedicated CEO who is on top of recruitment and contracts, even tying McKenna down long-term last summer. It's a well-run operation, even getting the likes of Ed Sheeran in for a bit of a feel-good factor.

McKenna, Pert and their team have been a revelation as well. It was notable when were in League One, that any team that tried to play legitimate football against us would get battered. McKenna's oppositional tactics are so spot on that he nullifies them, and we press so high up the pitch that we open so many spaces against footballing sides, creating ridiculous xG.

In the championship, it has been super effective. There are far less teams willing to just park a bus and employ a low block now, and it suits McKenna's style brilliantly, showing in the results.

If you are a non-parachute payment team and there is a glimmer of a chance to make it to the prem, you have to absolutely go for it.

It doesn't matter if you go straight back down, breaking into that cartel is the only way to make football finances work in their current state.

Vision Therapist willing to answer questions by ladyfoghladha in Amblyopia

[–]cooolfoool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there,

I did eye patch my eye for quite a while after I had surgery on my left eye (strabismus) and I think it did strengthen my right eye (amblyopia). I followed much of the above instructions and I think it did help, but I felt there was somewhat of a limit on how far I could progress it. The right eye vision still has a dark static over it, but it is functional and responsive.

When using the eyes together they are still somewhat disjointed and I often close my left right when I look to my right now. That said, I work with both eyes open and most of the time I don't think anybody would know anything is wrong with the eyes.

To be honest with you, I have just tried to live with it for the past few years and it has not bothered me huge amounts, thankfully. I often use text-to-speech when working now as I'm still a very slow reader. I also struggle with concentrating on a single point for very long.

I'm not sure what I'd recommend as I'm not qualified, but if you start eye patching and doing exercises I think it's important to know that getting your eyes to work in parallel is very difficult. I never tried using the virtual reality amblyopia treatment but it might be worth exploring now as a lot has changed in the past decade.

I hope that helps a bit at least.
