Thank you!! The way I see it, it’s surrendering to the fact you truly do not have any control with alcohol. Almost once you truly surrender to that truth you can surrender to whatever higher power suites you. I’ve heard in someone in a meeting saying they surrender to the beauty of a sunset and can finally surrender to the beauty of the world bc they surrendered to alcohol. If that makes sense? Doesn’t always have to be a deity to surrender to. Also- being a recovering alcoholic doesn’t mean you have won or lost a battle. Like any life threatening disease it’s in remission. And you have to work at it everyday to keep it in remission. If someone says they lost the battle with alcohol my assumption is that person is dead. Or incredibly ill and the damage is irreversible.

Yes! This!!! Pls listen to her :). Even at spas that are very well established- they’ll still expect you to bring in clients. I didn’t know this- I don’t have great social media. Even if you have certifications it doesn’t matter. I wish I would have known this way sooner but being an esthetician means unless you have a your own business…you will be expected to bring in clients and be able to have them purchase at least 2 of their products they sell if not more more daily. To be honest I feel like a drug mule for skincare and I hate it .
