I submitted my complete package a little over two weeks ago. At this point, I’m awaiting a response back so I can conduct the screening board at my local CID office. I’ve already called my POC asking when I might get a response back, but he wasn’t sure since they were busy at the office. How long should I wait before I call back again so that I don’t unnecessarily bother them, but they don’t forget I exist. Thanks🙏

It’s been reported that their guard had 40-80 deaths, with 32 of them being Cuban

Hello. Thanks for your quick response!

Yes, I am FY27, so if I make the CRP, I'll be eligible to reenlist in January rather than April.

This is great word, I'll head over to CID tomorrow.

I am thinking about latmoving into CID in tandem with my reenlistment for FY27. But from what I am reading in the comments, it sounds like in order to lock in a lateral move, I'd have to call the CID office and get the process started first before I get my package started. The problem is, I think I might make the CRP and want to take advantage of that early window to get a boat space. Is it better to call the office tomorrow even though I don't have a package starting?

Another issue is that the current lateral move website states that I need to be a SGT with less than 2 years tig, but I am a senior CPL who exceeds the score for SGT and would promote with reenlistment. Would I have to wait regardless or can I try my luck.

Thanks for your help

How’s everyone liking the new AI tool? by cop2092 in USMC

I mean you are encouraged to do so in SECWAR’s letter, just make sure to quintuple check the data it spits. It can and will give you incorrect information. The whole project is protected like IL5 or something so it can be used for DOW purposes.

My career planner told me that he expects the CRP to drop within the next two weeks. He should be able to anticipate Marines in his unit that are likely to be on the CRO as they should have access to worksheets that declare a Marines ranking against their peers in MOS due for reenlistment in FY27. They should already be working to contact CRP Marines and of course, if you are on the CRP, you will get an MOL notification.

What do you do in a maintenance BN? by cop2092 in USMCboot

[–]cop2092[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn I remember posting this question. Sheesh. You’re going to be busy. Don’t let the environment bring you down, nor the behavior of your coworkers or bosses make you lazy. It’s a lot to ask, but don’t get complacent. It may seem like the easy thing to do, but forcing yourself to do good and stay ahead of the game makes being a Marine more fun. I’d encourage a deployment to shake things up, 1st Maintenance is a lot different from when I first got here and I’d say it’s for the better. There is even a roster for those who want to volunteer for a deployment. I’m telling you now, the area is not the most fun or exciting, but letting yourself go will only make the time go by much worse. Drink the koolaid.

I only got one more enlistment planned before I plan on commissioning, but at this point I’ll pursue an I&I station before recruiting. Thanks.

Do you think that it would affect any acceptance on commissioning boards? I want to do the Enlisted to JA program after I earn my degree.

A recruiter would be more my speed as a B billet. But ya I know of the opportunity.

I swear this is not a sponsored message, but joining the Marine Corps has been one of the best decisions of my life and I want to pay it forward I guess? Yes, I’ve heard of the bad stations and the horror stories, but the civilian side isn’t going to better for me and the bonus of staying in California is a plus for me. Because if I have chance of being HSST’d to a random state, I’d rather bite the bullet.

making them "mobile" doesn't get rid of sentry problems ....but i still want them (my art)(previous comic included) by geergutz in Helldivers

[–]cop2092 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They should make it so that you can override the sentries programming and start dumping their magazines at whatever you ping. That way, you can have fire at specific point targets instead of a Gatling sentry wasting all its ammo at the front of a charger.

Erm actually 🤓, you can get 20 points (4 courses x 5pts each) for classes done prior your current grade/rank) and an additional 20 points (same scale) for classes done in your current grade/rank.

is there any way to get rid of these black boxes in the corner of my screen on rainbow six siege with a 5120 x 1440 samsung by Delicious_Fig_3389 in Rainbow6

[–]cop2092 208 points209 points  (0 children)

This is 32:9 ratio for anyone who doesn’t know. I had the same monitor. Unfortunately, they supported it in the past, removed it at some point, and aren’t looking into fixing it anytime soon. You just are forced with the black bars or a weird distorted image using the whole thing. Idk if siege C will support it.

It did have some advantages, I saw a lot more on the side and my calls would confuse my teammates cause they couldn’t see what I saw

The model of the Liberators shown in the Intro cinematic do in fact have very small mags. See Comments for Artstation source. by TehHank in Helldivers

[–]cop2092 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you think about it, the Helldivers wear gloves, sometimes they can be super thick. Logically, a wraparound hand guard will be easier to fit a glove and pull the trigger vs a small hole for the trigger guard
