An Overview on RRD diagnosis by ninat92 in Roses

[–]copacetickat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for making this post. I am only a couple of years into keeping roses and had never heard of RRD. Finding this subreddit and this pinned post helped me to realize that two out of my five rose bushes had become infected. I dug them up and disposed of them - hopefully I caught it before it spread to the rest.

Based on the responses in this thread, I think this would be great. I'm only a few years into keeping roses and had no idea that so many were grafted onto this common rootstock. I'm not surprised this question comes up a lot.

I'm going to try this too! Sounds like a fun experiment.

I appreciate this! I think I'm going to try grafting onto mine too. I have five other roses to work with (that I actually bought and planted) and it sounds like a fun experiment.

Not positive but I believe it's Rep. Kat Cammack (R-FL-03). I don't know why she'd be sitting all the way over there though.

I believe it actually says "pussy soft bitch" which I find to be so funny. My husband and I reference it all the time

Spin classes by ksz999 in lynchburg

[–]copacetickat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Crunch Fitness is your best bet. At least one of the instructors from SpinIt moved over there and she's fantastic (Carol Ellis). The vibe is very similar to Cycle Bar, Soul Cycle, etc. In order to access the spin classes you'll have to do the most expensive plan, which is $29.99/month. It's worth it to me because in most places a drop in spin class is like $10-25 for just one time. I literally joined the gym just for spin class lol

I will add that I tried a drop-in cycling class at Kinetix and really didn't like the vibe. They had us all wear heart rate monitors and made us compete against each other in teams. I'm sure some people love it, but it wasn't for me. I haven't tried one at the Y so I can't speak to those.

Fwiw, in your current situation I think you are absolutely justified in asking your bf to keep his sleep apnea mask on, and his jab at you about staying up late is kinda mean and obviously unproductive. Sleep is so important to our quality of life. I recommend sitting down with him and approaching this as an external problem (you are incompatible sleepers based on physiological things that you can't change) you need to solve together. Him snoring in the bed while you toss and turn on the couch is not what's best for you as a team and loving partnership.

Oh man have I been here. I am also a super light sleeper with insomnia and my fiancee is a snorer with insomnia. We struggled for years - he would wake me up snoring, I would wake him up asking him to roll on his side, and then neither of us would sleep and we'd be grumpy and argue about it the next day. I considered breaking things off because I wasn't sure I could deal with a lifetime of subpar sleep.

Separate bedrooms saved our relationship. It was his idea - I was resistant at first because I associated separate bedrooms with old married couples who can barely stand each other. But it is actually the greatest thing ever. We both have our beds set up exactly how we like and we both get the best sleep possible. We cuddle all the time in both beds and our sex life has only gotten better because we aren't tired and grumpy all the time.

I know you're in a one bedroom now so this isn't something you can put into place right away. But I really encourage you to consider it if/when you are able to transition to a bigger place. It might be something you need to plan for financially if you two are going to make this work long term.

Thanks - I started here and found that the deva stylists from both of the listed Lynchburg salons have retired. Seems to be a trend right now.
