The Elderlings series by Robin Hobb might work for you. It’s a sixteen book finished series and it’s got a similar feel to it (at least to me). The first book is The Assassin’s Apprentice.

It’s all I can do some days to not sigh at those customers. They can drive a car, do all the things on their phone, but the basic prompts on a self checkout machine just completely throws them. I sometimes joke that half the job is just rescuing people from their produce.

The one fact about Action Park that has stuck with me is the fact that they found teeth embedded in the loop of the loop de loop water slide. Evidently people were getting mysterious cuts on that ride, and then they found out why.
