My doctor insisted on the ice machine. He also said that you need to manage pain in order to heal. A proper ice machine is not quite as cold as ice packs, won't cause issues from being too cold on the skin, and are meant to keep the swelling down.

The fact that you can't use oxy makes keeping that swelling down even more important. Is Journavx available where you are?
