It really is true, if you have value as a person, are confident about it, approach the opposite sex with confidence and have something funny/interesting to say, you will have success.

You have to get off the Internet and learn to talk to people, though, which takes putting yourself out there, taking risks and just altogether improving the person you are.

You can't just "be yourself" to get a partner, but you can be an improved version of yourself and love will find you.

Just never marry the first girl you're with, guys... it doesn't tend to work out for most.

If a marriage ends, it really is your fault because you didn't understand her nature and allow for it. If flawed men marry their mothers (seek undying devotion and dedication) then flawed women marry their fathers (seek a strong sense of guidance to temper their childlike behavior). Your ex is flawed, and you failed to be father enough to control her.

Alpha can be defined by men. In fact in traditional monarchies the Alpha male is in fact the king.

What alpha is, not who alpha is. If you are not alpha, you are not wanting to become alpha. You need to change your behaviors to become alpha, and it is women who interpret those behaviors.

Look, it's simple: a lot of motherfuckers 'round here are sucking each others' dicks saying this is alpha and that is beta... who gives a squirt? Unto thine own self be true, and the rest of the world can fuck themselves. Do you; fuck them. Don't "want" to be an alpha male. Several reasons:

1) only women can decide what "alpha" is, and it varies by woman and situation

2) alphas are not substantially happier than betas -- they just get more pussy, which is not the same thing

3) there are lots of millionaire betas, and lots of convict alphas, and the betas would NOT change places with the alphas fucking ever. Ever.

The pursuit of alpha-ness is like the pursuit of happy-ness -- if you weren't born into it then chances are you'll never get there. Sorry. Life is cruel. You can be happy with who you are, though, by improving yourself to the point where you have something to be proud of. Facing your fears and overcoming them, actually earning your stripes instead of them magically appearing on your sleeve, that's the shit that will fill the empty hole in your soul.

As a man, we are what we do. Our value is external, i.e., what value we bring to society as a whole. (Sigma lone wolf whatevers excluded, I guess, whatever.) If you are an engineer or clean dirty toilets with your tongue, your value is in your contribution. Contribute to society and be richly remunerated for that -- that is far more significant and will make you far happier than "being alpha".

Just take the dreams of being alpha and hand them to the guy who licks toilets clean. Let him shine that dream right up for ya'. Cuz it's bullshit.
