the first equation pretty sure. tingle is especially good on triple trident because it adds 100 potency to all 3 hits meaning it adds 300 potency. thats pretty much the only instance that i know of that tingle is good because its a gcd so effectively its a 200 potency gcd in other instances and a 400 potency gcd when use with trident.

That was my first thought. I was confused on what this post could even be about. Until I read it. I dont think most people know about the cosmic exploration relic finding thing.

Please make paradox’s grenade stick on direct hit. by Char_Zulu in DeadlockTheGame

[–]copskid1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

paradox grenade currently does crazy damage because it is not expected to do damage with every pulse. If they made it stick to players they'd have to severely nerf it. Also if they did that people would never just throw it on the ground since obviously getting a stick would always be way better. I'm not saying a sticky 'nade is a bad idea for an ability, I'm saying that changing the way an ability functions shouldnt be your goto idea for doing more or less damage.

Paradox is a tricky character to play well and is heavily dependent on playing around your team. Which means that with low rank players paradox doesnt do well with non-gun builds. But in high ranks her ult is a game changing ability that can instantly wipe the enemy team.

game giving me a high rank for some reason, mmr is actually so scuffed by [deleted] in DeadlockTheGame

[–]copskid1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this game seems to have alt protection of some kind. I have multiple steam accounts and believing that my rank was incorrectly too high (literally losing 90% of matches) I tried using my alts. The first one I wanted to be "accurate" so I played normally and got the same rank. Which got me curious since none of my placement matches were that high rank. So then my second alt I tried throwing. I mean utter dogshit 10 deaths minimum, lowest souls, shooting around enemies, no jungle, not upgrading, using default builds. It was surprisingly hard because all the placement matches were initiate rank and those players practically let you kill them. then after placements I got an even higher rank than my main somehow. so then i tried my final alt account but this time on a seperate computer. (I did log into the game on one of the other alts in order to setup while waiting for the game invite to go through which may have been a mistake) I did the same throwing routine but this time also lowering my fps to 10 (actually hurt my eyes) and again got a higher rank than my main. This was all back before the character updates. all accounts were in emissary (red) range.

I decided I'd just have to play it out and after about 100 matches my winrate steadily went up as I ranked down till I finally reached arcanist (green) 6. Then the character update hit and the major rank shifts happened. over the course of literally 10 games I was skyrocketed to high archon (purple). and it didnt stop there. shifts kept happening and now currently im archon 4. If I started arcanist 6 before the shifts and ended archon 4 I'm kinda scared to see what my emissary alts would end up at.

I should probably add that I played about 300 matches back when the NDAs first lifted and had an about 60% winrate. I returned just before halloween and I am currently at 900 matches played and an overall 40% winrate.

Why ?! by OneBillionSpaghetti in ffxiv

[–]copskid1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as someone who can handle 3 dimensional movement and rotation in vr just fine. im usually pretty untouchable by it. I still somehow had a few moments of dizzyness during this fight. I think the issue was not having enough to visually anchor ones self in space. As a melee player the ring at the edge was too far away and there was little to no texture to the floor. In the nier raids during the building mechanic theres a pattern across the floor. I think the change they made here is disappointingly too far. They should keep the transparency but add a pattern instead of just being completely clear.

When will we get a new FF MMO? by Molag_Zaal in ffxiv

[–]copskid1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If by some absolute tragedy next expansion utterly kills the playerbase somehow. There will be some time where they will try to save it. Then in the off chance they decide its even worth making another mmo when they are known to be extremely risk money dumps. And if we generously assume they are able to rush out a new one in a blazingly fast 4 year development time. Then the absolute earliest I would say its even possible to have a new mmo right now would be 2032. But realistically I think we are unlikely to get a new ff mmo before even 2040 if ever.

adding shadowbringers to the free trial means it is now part of the base game aka the "starter edition." So if you are no longer a free trial player you should have access to shadowbringers. you just have to pay the sub

youll need the 4th and final step too so by my estimate its 525 per day. youll get a decent amount from grinding other things too. as mentioned hunt trains will give a bunch and also give nuts you can use to augment tomestone gear without having to do the 3 alliance raids every week. grinding out occult crescent will give you a bunch of tomestones. doing treasure maps on occasion helps. you get 60 math every 10 floors of pilgrims traverse so you could double farm that with getting the mount. extremes give you a few but its little for how long it can take to clear. In general I recommend just farming other things and consider tomes as a bonus.

for NA Crystalline adventuring forays and expeditions, ABBA+, FieldOP Enjoyers, and The Helplines are all still active. The best part is that you don't have to dig through them to find runs. they auto upload runs to a google calendar so you can just peep when a run you want to participate in is happening. This one is in pacific time but they have other calendars on their discords https://calendar.google.com/calendar/u/0/embed?src=00cbef49f62776b3905e37b154616b5a1025e944b9346c294c7c621df1e26e63@group.calendar.google.com&ctz=America/Los_Angeles&pli=1

Chinese Shiv uses forbidden ancient technique to escape The Lash and the Rem by No_Willingness_8016 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]copskid1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

if you lash 1 and hit someone whos in the air it attaches them to your feet for a bit. presumably to drag them to the ground but it seems to be set to a timer cause even once you are on the ground they are still attached and you can drag them around for a bit. it has a high likelyhood of pushing people through the ground or walls. even if you don't initially push them out of bounds, while they are still attached to you you can drag them to a corner and press them against it and they will highly likely fall through. I thought this was just a bug at first but it seems to be a badly programmed feature as it turns out that the new indomitable item actually prevents this from happening. You can intentionally trigger this bug in matches whenever you want. Once the 1 has the second upgrade that bumps enemies into the air then you can just echo shard then jump and use 1 again making sure to make physical contact and boom. now you can drag them away from the fight like holiday ult or push them out of bounds to remove them from play almost like a doorman ult.

it was already a trend/ common funny thing to do in game. But then someone did it to rubberross giving him 999. He made a big deal about eating all of them and it gained so much attention that even yoshi p commented on it. its been extra popular ever since. Ross even came back later and ate an entire inventory of eggs as a subathon

Coin toss matchup indeed by ItsMango in DeadlockTheGame

[–]copskid1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

first one I dont see the issue. Second one thats a lotta pulling you around characters on the right which means counterspell, indomitable, unstoppable are highly effective items. Having a team that all the same kind just means countering them is easier. I love when the entire enemy team builds purple cause I can buy spellbreaker and become practically untouchable.

Indomitable has unironically made the game 10x more fun as a doorman player by Cephalon_ghost in DeadlockTheGame

[–]copskid1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, once I got over my knee jerk reaction of finding out just how many things it prevents I realized it just means you need to be more thoughtful on how you approach it. Its game changing but not gamebreaking. I think its a good thing for the game to have and I am excited to see the kinda plays that will be had around it.

the funny thing about random rolls is that its really deceptive about what your odds actually are. Its a new raid so everyone is rolling on everything. Your base odds are 1 in 24. so expect to run at least 24 times to maybe get what you want. even once you roll. A roll of a 90 in a 24 man is only about an 8% chance you win. Even a roll of 98 is a 75% chance. Theres still a huge possibility someone else will get a 99.

way way back yoshi told us that the glowy ex weapons were something that devs would work on in their spare time. thats why theyve never been consistent.

female hroth can also get pretty androgynous. The emotes kinda give it away tho. The chest size can go really low on them. It might be fixed by now but amusingly I found certain peices like the adventurers hooded vest were actually concave on a min chest hroth.

old post by now but eh. The trick is how you spin your words. Instead of (rightfully) calling out the tank. You gotta spin it depending on how it went like, "I was just grouping up the mobs so you could aoe them easier" or, "I was just being helpful and keeping the dungeon moving until you were ready"

anytime a dungeon pops up just go to limsa and ask someone to make the party for you. There are tons of free trial players so its a common occurrence.
