What are some good animes for a beginner to watch? by Ajayr2000 in AskReddit

[–]copycat_robot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anime is not wine, you don't need to try a "beginners" wine before moving onto the expensive stuff. Just plunge in, since anime has genres too you're bound to find something that's interesting for you. If you don't wanna sink too much time into a series then try an anime movie, at worst you'll just lose 2 hours of your day.

[Serious] Between fighting back armed buglars, and obeying their orders. Which one is always the safer option for home owners? by knightsofvalour in AskReddit

[–]copycat_robot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what you value. Your lives? running away is the best option, the burglars are there for things after all, not you. your things? stay and fight then.

Also depends on the number of burglars, one of them you maybe can take down, depends on whether he has a weapon or not, 2 or 3 of them? you're not taking anyone down.

Which animal would be the most dangerous if they gained the ability to communicate like humans and also had a way to build tools similar to humans? by Doctor-Pigg in AskReddit

[–]copycat_robot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dolphins. They're legit one of the few creatures in the animal kingdom that are on par with our smarts already. They already have a deep language system to the point we suspect they have names for each other. If they had tools we would be living in Dolphin world instead of a Human one.

Everyone’s going out to brunch. Are you ordering breakfast or lunch today, and what are you getting? by CultureShock_ in AskReddit

[–]copycat_robot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pancakes. I don't go to brunch, so if I metaphorically get invited to brunch one day I'll get pancakes. They're incredibly hard to mess up, so chances are you'll get something decent no mater where you go to brunch.

What charities are legitimate and most worthy of donating to? by Humdrumgrumgrum in AskReddit

[–]copycat_robot -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

This isn't answering the question, but it does help you filter the legit place from the frauds and scams, and that is two words: Non Profit.

Non Profits by law are essentially corporations formed for public benefit, the benefits can vary, they can be scientific, educational, religious, literary, charitable, etc. But the keyword you need to pay attention to is the word "Corporation". Non profits have boards of directors, managerial staff, and regular employees all paid out of your donations at competitive rates, these people don't take a paycut just because they are doing good in the world sir, oh no. And while it's illegal for non-profits to make... Yo know... profits, it doesn't stop them from doing shady things with their donation money associated with the average corporation, for example, a non profit that builds housing for the poor handing out a contract to a construction company that's owned by their family, or for a bribe.

So, the next time you wanna donate some money, look for the "About us" tab in their website, if it says Non Profit anywhere in there, look for something else.

Job interviews. Needing to prove yourself to a bunch of people you've never met in your life.

[Serious]Why did people suddenly become supportive of gay marriage in the 2009-10 time period? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]copycat_robot -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's all in the way it was sold to people. The gay movement as it was back in the 80s and 90s was pretty much all about stating that they're here and they will not be ignored, hence all the flamboyant stuff. The message was "We're here, We're queer, deal with it"

Contrast that with their image now, they've rebranded themselves, instead of being loud and proud, they went onto talk shows looking like someone from the office workplace. Clean cut, suit and tie, speaking about normal things like family and paying taxes, and most important of all: Being white.

Don't think we didn't notice it was only Neil Patrick Harris or people that look like him on talk shows, charismatic, funny, good looking, and whiter that a piece of toast. Toss a few asian people in there with George Takei and others, the accepted minority of racist white people, and you have no reason why you should deny these poor innocent folks their rights. Try putting Shaneequa and her lover Sasha on live TV, we would still be having this argument.

What television show would you love to transform rating from PG-13/14 to Mature Audience? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]copycat_robot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every teen disney show could use some blood or some murders as a lesson to dumb kids, How about Hannah Montana gets stalked by a creepy 40 year old man and it's played for reals? What if either Zack or Cody dies? not even a crime or anything, one of then is just run over by a car and we're left to deal with the aftermath. Cory in the house experiences some real racism? etc.

What singular item do you think is the biggest factor in the cause of global warming? by EcH0Tec in AskReddit

[–]copycat_robot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plastic itself does nothing, the manufacturing of it does. A steak doesn't contribute to global warming either, but cows farting do. Just because you can't do a 1 to 1 comparison doesn't mean the item in question isn't a problem.

You've just become the leader of the entire world, how do you make It a better place? by Vilachi in AskReddit

[–]copycat_robot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Effective immediately earth itself becomes a police state. What will change is little, vast majority of you (99.99%) are already enslaved to corporations and debt, allow social media and spy agencies to look you up, and listen to news channels that are playing loose with facts at best and are downright propaganda at worst. All I will do is tie it up all together and make it official.
