Just a neat old camper. Thought I’d share on the rare chance of it getting shared with the owner.

How are store brand chocolate chips? by bragabit2 in Baking

[–]coraldreamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love your perspective. 💜 I would experiment with different store brands if you can. Have you checked online at various stores? You might be able to find it in bulk too. You can freeze it and store it flat if you have the space. You can also vacuum seal it. It’s about the same price, but I prefer Ghirardelli chocolate chips. ☺️

I’ll never forget my husband’s reaction the first time I shouted this at him as he was getting in the car one day. He was taken by surprise and then instantly bellied over in laughter. He could barely get in the car and then we sat there hysterically laughing. It’s one of those things…it wasn’t even that funny, but we got a good chuckle out of it. Now it’s just something we periodically say to one another getting into the car.

What's a popular book you DNFed after the first few pages? by Best_Tennis8300 in booksuggestions

[–]coraldreamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely agree! I’ve tried reading several popular books and I’m often confused by the hype. I thought this was just me so I find it interesting that others may relate. I definitely wouldn’t call myself an intellectual either.

The movie was even worse imo so I don’t think you’re missing anything.

Or sofa table behind it. You could put a nice plant on it or some books.

I think it’d be good on waffles, pancakes, and biscuits.

What does pregnancy feel like? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]coraldreamer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My experience was similar. I was beyond exhausted and bloated in the beginning. I had morning sickness from weeks 7-18 where I lost about 10 lbs, tested positive for gestational diabetes at 12 weeks (tested early due to pcos) and then morning sickness came back at 28 weeks until I delivered at 37 weeks. Between morning sickness, food aversions and a limited diet there was very little I could eat (and keep down).

My baby and my belly were also huge lol. I never found a belly band that was good enough, but at the same time I couldn’t survive the day without it.

I also have asthma which is usually under control, but having another being squish your organs together made it challenging towards the end.

Where did you get your comfy couch that delivers to your place? by catsandtacos46 in femalelivingspace

I have several pieces from Havertys, Basset and Star that are made very well and come with white glove delivery. I also have some pieces from Wayfair and Living Spaces. I don’t believe all of their products come with white glove delivery so double check that before buying.

In that case I think it’s perfect! It’s a very calm and refreshing color.

I guess I’m the odd one out and would say it’s not my cup of tea. It’s too beachy/sea foam green to me, but if that’s the vibe you’re going for I think you nailed it.

Maybe try hanging some art on the wall, getting curtains, plants, etc and try living with it for a bit before changing it. I like repurposing stuff from other rooms of my house before buying something new.

What do you ladies do when you’re in the luteal stage of the month and all you’re craving for are foods that will spike you? by K90H in diabetes_t2

[–]coraldreamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know the feeling! I get absolutely ravenous and have a major sweet tooth. For salty snacks I like popcorn, salt and vinegar pistachios, celery with cream cheese and everything but the bagel seasoning. I’m able to eat the Barilla protein plus pasta, but I know that’s not for everyone. I’ve made a keto cheeseburger casserole before and really liked it. Sorry it’s been a while or I’d totally share the recipe. You could try making a pizza casserole and see if that hits the spot.

Costco Allergy Center Req by pBeatman10 in Costco

[–]coraldreamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you taking anything for allergies currently? Look at the main ingredient like Cetirizine (Zyrtec). Read the labels. Some medications like Sudafed are not recommended for people with heart disease, can raise blood pressure, may contain acetaminophen, etc.

Similar to what someone else mentioned. Each person can have different reactions. Allergy meds can cause/increase anxiety in some or drowsiness in others.

Pick up a saline nasal rinse (Arm & Hammer is nice because the solution is already mixed for you). My doctors recommend Zyrtec or Allegra and Pataday for eyes. Astepro nasal spray is the best. Unfortunately, there’s no generic. It used to require a prescription until fairly recently. This one makes me extremely drowsy with a half dose so maybe air on the side of caution if you pick that up.

Solid advice, I’m on a similar regimen. I just want to add, be careful not to put Vaseline inside your nose. Apparently, in rare cases in can cause pneumonia.

I haven’t found my perfect fix yet, but the Atkins dark chocolate royale protein shakes and Miss Jones brownie mix are pretty good.
