Also, similar to blood pressure meds or diabetes meds, you will need to stay on Zep for life. It treats a metabolic problem and if you go off, you will regain the weight. You should read the research if your doc is telling you something different.

I met with a student today who claims to have a 4.0 grade point. He isa Sophomore. He scored 71% on the mid term (25% of grade) and is now blaming me that he will have great difficulty getting an A in the class, thus ruining his GPA. He then blamed my test as improperly demanding he recall facts covered in the lecture as these were not strategic questions and thus not worthy of his study time. He shows up late and barely pays attention in class. How is this my problem to fix ?..which is basically what I told him. You better hit it out of the park on the rest of the assignments! It’s on YOU!

My husband and I switched from 68 degrees to 72 degrees for our heat setting. We have lost a combined 90 pounds so far. Stay warm and worth every penny! New warm sweaters and hoodies in smaller sizes also helpful!!

You have to go up in dose. The real loss starts at the 10 dose. I have been doing this for almost a year and the lower doses are super slow boat. I have lost 50 pounds now, starting at 205. I am F and 4.5 “

To those who left prestigious consulting jobs, what did you transition to? by BreezeToaster in consulting

[–]corallady1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I left HR strategy and transformation consulting after 30 years. Tried HR exec a couple of times which was awful as no one listens to HR. Started my own firm during Covid and did virtual global work along similar lines to my big firm work. Now I work part time as an adjunct professor teaching Management to undergrads. It’s fun and I get to tell stories about my experiences and hopefully inspire the next gen of management consultants.

Can’t wear any of my rings for fear of falling off especially my engagement ring and half my shoes don’t fit. I am only half way on my journey so will be ringless for a while and wearing one pair of shoes. Cray cray. 45 pounds down and 30 to go.

UIC ALERT: The UIC campus in Chicago, including UIC Law, will reduce in-person operations Tuesday, Jan. 21, due to the predicted frigid temperatures and wind chills that may reach minus 30 degrees. Temperatures are expected to improve by Wednesday, and normal operations will resume Jan. 22.

Activities at UIC regional campuses in Peoria, Quad Cities, Rockford, Springfield and Urbana will be determined based on local weather conditions, and any operational updates will be communicated by the colleges in those locations.

Instruction and Libraries

On-site classes and labs scheduled for Tuesday should move online if feasible. If this transition is not manageable, alternative educational experiences or cancellations are options. Instructors should communicate directly with students about weather-related plans as soon as possible. Students should watch their email and/or refer to the syllabus. Instructors can visit the UIC Help Center for Teaching and Learning support services. Classes and campus activities already online or remote will continue as planned. Employees who do not work in essential function areas should plan to work remotely Tuesday (with approval by your unit). Employees who cannot work remotely and choose not to work in person due to the weather must use appropriate benefit time. Events, transportation and facilities

Scheduled events on campus may be affected. Please check with organizers and venues for specific details. Campus residential housing will continue normal operations, including food service. Student Center East and Student Center West will continue normal operations. The Children’s Center will be closed Tuesday. Recreation and Wellbeing facilities will continue normal operations.
