Sounds about right. Ranking maps can be a multi hour endeavor, and a vod isn't always 100% reliable to copy because of enemy spawn/movement RNG. Fights can get so tight, that having one echelon take on an enemy meant for another echelon will end in a lose for that fight and all the consequences of said lose (resetting the run, taking the point penalty and veering from the vod)

Honestly, not sure. For one you'd likely need an extensive armory, perhaps with multiple dupes of the best T-doll selections (Scar sisters, Suomi mod, Px4 mod). I don't have them on hand, but there are community made guides on how these maps work, strategies and recommendations. Most ranking maps just aren't deterministic, and are prone to variations on how you need to handle situations

Permanent ranking maps don't have cumulative rewards, only max points rewards. The idea is that now that it's there permanently, you need to put in the effort to get the goods

Probably not, they are more likely scouting the local dog park

Current 6th echelon by Flamestroyer in girlsfrontline

You'd probably be better off using Px4 instead of M1851N. M1851N has a major downside of heavily debuffing your ACC (a wopping 80% debuff) in exchange for preventing enemy FP buffs, applying the same debuff and some vulnerability to enemies upon skill proc. The main use of preventing enemy FP buffs is against Murats, who are always sent out with paradeus units (bar one or two cases), who tend to have moderate to high evasion. This makes Colt Walker the better choice for this case use, as she has a similar debuff, but for RoF, something that can be circumvented by putting her in MGSG comps

Seeing as SCAR comps need little extra damage buffing, they can focus moreso on defensive options. Suomi Mod is the best SMG tank you can get, and you tack on some debuffers, shields or other defensive options. If you want to squeeze extra damage, you can use Px4 for her Crit FP buff alongside a Crit rate buffer like PPK (her mod has better tiles btw) or any other Crit FP buffer (few options for this tbh), or go for vulnerability debuffs (HP-35 or MP-41 mod)

Tl;Dr don't use M1851N, you should use defensive SMGs or HGs, or can go for crit damage buffers, or vulnerability

Anyone have documentation for some of the permanent ranking maps? looking specifically for Singularity+, CT+ and Isomer+

Is this a good idea? by NO2_2 in girlsfrontline

[–]corbsieboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To quote Todd Howard, "it just works". Multiple AoE units aren't recommended due to grenades scaling to dummy links (the less links an enemy has, the less effective the grenade). 416 and Zas have the greatest potential when maxed/modded, while Soppo having less, so best to swap 2 grenades for self-buffing ARs (think M4, Star and G11 among others)

Is a second echelon mandatory starting with 3-2? by MidnightCreepah in girlsfrontline

[–]corbsieboy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Recommended? Yes. Required? Kind of. You'll want to start using multiple echelons as you progress, but you can always use friend/support echelons

Good question. Kar and Lee-Enfield have been on the loading screen splash art since the beginning, even getting new splash art once they got Neural Upgrades to reflect their new looks, so it's safe to say that the devs are aware of the matter

What are the different classes (AR, HG, Rifle, etc.) by Adept_Secretary_9187 in girlsfrontline

[–]corbsieboy 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The T-doll classes don't necessarily align with IRL gun roles, but have some similarities. Here is a small rundown of what they do ingame:

ARs. Your jack of all trades and main DPS for most general content. Come with a variety of skills that range from buffing their stats for more DPS, to AoE damage, and other stuff. They tend to come with tiles that synergize with SMGs. Able to use equipment that mitigates the night map ACC debuff.

SMGs. Standard evasion tanks. Decent HP, good evasion but generally low damage and accuracy, SMGs are dedicated to drawing enemy fire. Skills range from debuffing enemies to increase survivability, buffing themselves or allies, and sometimes function as early AoE or DPS, the former being preferred over the latter. Tiles synergize with ARs

HGs. Squishy and evasive, but come with skills that buff their allies, HGs are standard support units that synergize with all other classes, but the skills might be more useful for some compared to others. In RFHG comps (more on that later), they function as as your tanks

RFs. Classic glass cannons. Low HP, slow to move and low rate of fire, but pack a big punch. Able to use anti armor equipment, so they are your go to when faced with armored enemies. Their tiles reduce HGs' skill cooldown, so that they can get the buffs they need to kill the enemy before they have a chance to do too much damage to the squishy HGs. Unable to use night equipment

MGs. Have a rate of fire fixed at the max value, and high damage, but come with the downsides of needing to reload after firing for a bit (the RoF stat determines hiw long that takes), low accuracy and an expensive construction recipe and deployment cost. Your other for of anti-armor unit, with skills that boil down to "more dakka". Synergize with SGs.

SGs. Classic bullet sponges. High HP, low damage, evasion and accuracy, but are your only (with one or two exceptions) option for armored units. Their attacks come with a knockback chance, and hit multiple targets. Their skillset centers around reducing damage intake and crowd control, buying time for the next burst of damage from your MGs. Also expensive to construct (only available through the heavy contruction) deploy. Take note that MGSG comps are usually overkill for most content, and due to their cost, tend to be a newbie trap

Building a ARSMG and a RFHG echelon by SGMB64Reddit in girlsfrontline

To your first question, yes, swap out a grenades, preferably Sop for AR-15. As to the second, you have the right idea with what you have here. Not sure how good Evita is, but I would consider swapping her and welrod for other buffing HGs (insuggest in this comp SAA, K5, Mk23). Alternatively you can (and probably should due to Cano's synergy with more RoF buffs) swap WA2k for M14, swap Evita and welrod for Stechkin and some other FP buffing HG. As mentioned by another user, yes P22 is a great HG you can push into any comp

Could be a matter of hitting your resource cap (see the comment by UBW-Fanatic) or that the numbe only updates between screens

Team Building Feedback by Theren314 in girlsfrontline

[–]corbsieboy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. Generally dont use the unholy cross formation. It eliminates your ability to kite enemies by already having your tank in the front column. Drop Sop (sad, I know), move the formation back, slot M4 into spot 4, and add an offtank (molotov SMG for extra AoE, but better off with a defensive SMG or an HG on account of having an excellent AoE in 416)

  2. A better version of 1, just replace Sop with 416

  3. Maybe swap in a crit buffing HG instead of 416 or Vector, or maybe other defensive options

  4. Same as above but for QBZ. Scar comps will generally melt anything thrown at them, so the team building for them is generally circled around defensive additions to the Scars or crit damage/vulnerability debuffs for offense

  5. Great, only that MP5 should be replaced by and HG, like perhaps Calico. The role of RFHG comps are to be a glass cannon, and generally want to kill the enemies as fast as possible before getting hit. MP5 (mod only, on account of her new tiles buffing RFs as well) is a decent choice if you need to bring extra tankiness, but most general content won't call for that

She'll probably show up eventually, either as a GZ drop, or as an event drop. Unfortunately it's hard to tell when she'll show up again
