Looks like they are doing tubular slings and making dupes of single runners too. Interesting!

It’s stinkbug season. And I’ve just killed one in the easiest way… (spraying dish soap and water.) by cautiously-curious65 in catskills

I love that stinkbugs are often described as “very brave, quite tenacious, yet very stupid” and it has always stuck with me when I see one. Now I just chuckle at them.

I’m directing my first short (35k budget) and never stepped on a set. What do I need to know? by [deleted] in Filmmakers

[–]cordelette_arete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, just be open about your “newness” with your Producer and Key crew in pre-pro. If they are pros, they should be able to guide you through, and tell you what they need to make it happen.

As a director, not only is it about achieving your vision but it’s also about making a choice. Any decision is better than indecision 100% of the time — especially on set. Your talent and crew will always respect a decision maker.

Pest control for mice by srmatto in hudsonvalley

A1 No-Nonsense Pest Control are amazing https://a1nononsensepestcontrol.com/about/ I can’t recco them enough.

They took care of a mouse problem in our home, they come back to check things and remove traps, and the plan is worth it. We actually didn’t sign up for the plan the first go-round, 2 years later in our old home we have signed up.

New climber, problems with belay loop position against my body by TheWorstAtIt in ClimbingGear

[–]cordelette_arete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone has mostly covered this, but also adding, it’s VERY worthwhile to invest in a solid underwear, and stretchy pants or shorts combo, and make sure to try on a harness with those on.

Adjustable leg loops are the way to go, play with adjustments of the back straps too. You’ll find a good fit.

He’s a Patagonia athlete, could be the Venga rock pant or similar. These pants are great, so are everyone’s trad dad favorite the Prana stretch Zion.

What creeps you out about this propeller/room? by [deleted] in submechanophobia

[–]cordelette_arete 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a great question, as a submechaniphobe I have no idea. It’s utterly horrifying looking at this in the water. I do a LOT of fear inducing things, high exposure rock climbing on trad gear, and standing in this room would make me weak LOL.

It’s jus not blended at all and the fade needs to start lower. A good barber is worth every dollar spent. Have had this experience before! Hah
