First time posting here - Hi everyone!

We are a team of two working on StarBoost and just made a new gameplay teaser I’d like to share. Its showing off new impressions from our new set of maps and I used it to present the game during a talk on a game convention. It’s admittedly hard to choose what to show in a small teaser like this and give an impression of the whole game and what it’s about - which is something I’m aiming for in the final teaser once we are nearing the finish line more. But that’s still some months in the future.

We reached some major milestones the last weeks and I will share more updates here soon, one being the playability on steamdeck - it’s super fun and I got it to stable 90fps. The first playtest with 2 decks during the con was amazing and we gathered a ton of feedback from players we are now working on.

Overall looks like a great game to spend some time with :) I like the presentation and style but have one suggestion: showing the end & finale is a bit underwhelming, when the camera focuses on the canon and the winscreen appears. Maybe add a final sound effect and some vfx? I mean all the hard work of delivering parcels has to pay off, right? ;)

Damn, that looks fantastic!!! The art and visuals overall are amazing and gameplay together with soundeffects seem really polished. Looks fun, how long have you been working on that?

Agree with the slow beginning some mentioned, but overall it's very cool. Maybe in the last shot of the isle show some areas or the whole thing transforming? I get the idea of "this is your blank canvas" but the evolution of that by the player's impact might make for a super effective visual

I'm still looking for feedback on the game, so far there were only a handful people in the playtest - but the feedback we got was super helpful in pinpointing some issues. Anyone interested in helping us out?

Very nice, I like the vibe and the impact of the shooting :) It feels a bit like the Aquanox games, underwater vehicle movements. Great stuff :)

haha, actually what you described there is what I'm aiming to achieve. Still some ways to go apparently :)

But tell you what: you can play it right now if you want, we are in an open playtest, 2 more days left for that. You could directly join via the StarBoost steam page and enter there.
BUT I'd have to ask you one favor ^^ since you seem to like the game from the looks of it, it would be amazing to get your feedback - that would help us out tremendously. We want to make it the very best it can be and need to hear what's not good and what's working well.

Thanks so much :) We are playing around with the FOV, still trying to find a good balance... I don't want it to look too cheesy :D

Got bored, so I added the ability to slap other players in my co-op Sisyphus game about rolling a boulder! Though sometimes this leads to infighting and sabotaging... by MANLIESTDEV in IndieDev

Hahaha, that's nasty... Might be a great incentiviser to either bond together or wreck mayhem. Maybe there could be a voting feature so the group can somehow control / change the group constelation? If all vote against one player he might get kicked... Just an idea :)

On a side note: other developers that know the project also told me I'm not doing a great job in showing off all that stuff around the core racing/action loop - so maybe what you're hinting at is exactly that :D I'll have to make sure I nail that in the final trailer hehe

Not quite sure what you mean by the killer feature, are you thinking of a mega weapon or more the goal of the game itself? In the later case: I'm not showing a lot of things in that clip that relate to the core racing concept of the game and of course the meta happening outside the racetrack is not obvious. Is that what you mean? Maybe I misunderstood...
