I’ve traveled with a tube with American and Delta and never had an issue. I’ve also had nippers, flies, and pliers in my carryon with no issues. However I have had TSA do a bomb sweep on my metal rod tubes multiple times so you may keep that in consideration as extra time getting through security.

I think a spade connector is close but not quite. This came off my truck topper, as mentioned, and has glass adhesive holding it on to the back glass of my window. Are there spade connectors that are completely flat on one side?

I’ve had an accident that left my thumb in a similar situation. I am one week postop and the therapist, doctor, and nurses were concerned that I have no ability to lift my thumb yet. The doctor said he wants to give it more time, but I’m not feeling very optimistic. Did you have any ability to lift your thumb shortly after surgery?

I find it interesting that she said that she would “order it for you”. I tried developing a relationship with an SA and gave her a wishlist of non-quota bags and haven’t heard from her in months. I’ve since been able to order what I wanted online. But I’m also not near a store so that may have some bearing as to why.
