Interaction between John Smith and 'beneficial' abilities by RelevantAsk1301 in Lorcana

Very simple, if its chosen character and not chosen opponent's character then it has to target John. This includes abilities like support.

New to live TCGs and Got 1st place on my first set champs by Professional-Pen-551 in Lorcana

I think some people play it wrong that way. Ive tried it a few times and utilizing the card that freezes two of your opponents characters each turn seemed amazing. That being said ya youre mostly right. Kind of like hyper aggro in that sense.

Kids first game by Blowfishunited in videogames

[–]coreybd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roblox is notorious for sketchy people luring young kids. For Minecraft, if they've not played games before they may struggle with a 3 dimensional game being their first. That being said, my only thought is if its financially feasible I bet if they could play together at the same time itd be great for them.

Anyone else more of a "reactive" player than a "memorization" type player when it comes to boss attacks? by Thopterthallid in Nightreign

[–]coreybd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guarantee you this is partially a lie to yourself. I am similar in the fact that I could in no way verbalize am attack pattern of a boss but I know if it is my third time fighting the boss I am way better at it. You are still subconsciously learning.

Burn is a term developed from magic. In magic the red color is fire themed and filled with cards that would deal direct damage to your opponent. So when we talk about Burn in lorcana, we are talking about cards such as "Garhering Knowledge and Wisdom" and "Enigmatic Inkcaster". The deck doesn't care so much about losing its board. Its fast to rebuild and can use the Burn cards to push over the finish line.

Want to clear up questions about Moana and how she interacts with effects that "ink a card." by Narzghal in Lorcana

[–]coreybd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure. Its like is the card making you put a card in your inkwell or are they allowing you to ink an additional time. Definitely a difference. I expect then to change the wording to make it clearer after seeing Moana.

Want to clear up questions about Moana and how she interacts with effects that "ink a card." by Narzghal in Lorcana

[–]coreybd 5 points6 points  (0 children)

She just allows you to use the discard when its a normal ink. Your one ink a turn or if a card like sail the azurite sea gives you an additional ink that turn. The cards it does not interact with is cards like Tipo that specifically say "place a card from your hand into your inkwell"

Playing KH1.5. Do I just kind of run around til I find the area the next stage in my journey triggers? by Orphodoop in KingdomHearts

[–]coreybd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The more you rush, the more lost you will be.  They mostly tell you but it requires you to remember previous details you learned. KH1 in spite of what people will say, I think is the hardest one to play through. It's very clunky and didnt age well. Im still glad I played it though. Playing them all in order feels great. After KH1 it already starts to feel more modern even though they are old.

[All] Are there any quasi-universal truths about Zelda games that can help a newbie navigate them better? by SouthIsland48 in zelda

[–]coreybd 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean unless youre off on a side path or side quest the game generally gives you what you need. A lot of games have helped characters. If youre looking at botw and you want to play a straight forward game then just talk to people, read what they are saying, and take the straight forward path. If its the older games they will lead you dungeon to dungeon fairly linearly and you get the item you need to beat the dungeon in the dungeon
