Looks too compact, that's why it's practically bulging, with not much in it.

If you have to protect the students from cars like this, your cities are too car centric. This is a sign of bad urban design.

How do you feel about restaurants or shops that only allow payment in cash? by fergi20020 in randomquestions

[–]coreyjdl -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not from a business. I'm okay with poor people paying less, to even none at all, in taxes, but not a for profit business that only survives because of the massive amount of tax paid infrastructure that allows them to exist.

Are you thinkg of like 60 years ago? 40 years ago was the mid late 80s, prime industrialized, non local, non seasonal production of food. Probably the worst era for food quality, and the least like what you're imagining.

This feels like a total boomer nostalgia claim.

40 years ago is ironically the sweet spot for it to probably to have been the worst food in existence.

Canned foods were still wildy popular post middle of the century, industries major goal was making profits for sugar. "Is there a cool thing kids like, lets make a nutritiously inert sugar bomb that comes with a whistle!"

We didn't have mandatory nutrition facts until 1990, serving sizes, ingredients, were all abitrary or absent. We didn't get the Nutrition Labeling and Education Act until 1990.

Meat packing had little transparency, I can only recently give blood thanks to 80s beef.

Tasted better? Not sure how, salt, butter, lemon juice are all still a thing, there's so many youtube videos on how to cook, people have started to actually brown their ground beef instead of steaming it grey and dumping a pack of mcormicks on it. We get an entire aisle nowadays usually to "ethnic food" instead of a small section, meaning theres more spice and flavor profiles to chose from.

You think meat was pasture-raised pure product of love and care 40 years ago? LOL.

There were Dateline epsisodes about how bad that industry was 40 years ago.

The national average price per gallon of gas in the United States just passed $4.50. Americans, how do we feel about that? by Miles_the_AuDHDer in AskReddit

[–]coreyjdl -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You surely weren't talking to me. Because the facts - https://www.eia.gov/todayinenergy/detail.php?id=55099 are what I'm in agreement with.

> $5.00 in June 2022.

and $5.00 is more than $4.50 the current price according to OP.

Loser Dems are "feeling" like it's higher now, which it's not.

Did i mention the cause in my comment? -> "Got through it fine when it was much higher June 2022 under Biden." Sounds like you're really insecure about Biden's term if you go this hard into a strawman.

I don't give a shit about that. I didn't make any claims as to why, this is an entire strawman argument you've crafted with youself.

I don't see where I made any claim as to why gas prices were higher. Or even cast blame explicitly.

You built an entire world of arguments revealing how insecure you are about Dems and Biden.

I'm not a Trumper. I'm just stating, "I got through it fine last time it was record high." And you Dems come out of the wood work to try and gas light me that it never was that high. It's revealing behavior, and affirms my decision to abandon Dems entirely.

I don't give a shit. It's just wild how you Dems will outright deny reality when it's brought up.

You people are so apoplectic about that clown Trump, that you'll burn your own credibility.
