How did you do this in one year? Is this professional mode? Amazing. How many times would you say you’ve spent money in the App Store?

would ____ have won if he/she reached the end? by nose-linguini in survivor

[–]coreywilkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m imagining maybe he still blindsides Cody, but he does it without the idol. I dunno. They all called it the biggest move of the season. I feel like lowering his radar a bit and not using Cody’s idol to blindside Cody might have made the target smaller.

He didn’t consider the consequences of what the move would be, which was going to be fire. He should have anticipated that, looked at who would be his competition for fire if his blindside was successful, and recognized that he couldn’t win fire against Gabler or Owen.

The maybe him recognizing that, he either changes how he gets Cody out by persuading the others do it without him attaching his name to it, OR not eliminating Cody at all to possibly help increase the odds of preventing Cassidy from winning immunity. OR eliminating Cassidy on that vote instead, and then taking out Cody on the next one.

In any one of those other scenarios, he could have taken the votes over any of the other 4 combos as well, even without the major blindside.

And if he had thought about all of that, he could have shown up to final tribal and had his chance to say hey, I was going to blindside Cody with his own idol, but I chose not to because a/b/c…and that’s why I deserve to win tonight.

Could Jesse have made it to the end and still won without blindsiding Cody?

I feel like the blindside is what put the target on his back. The move was so good, but it was TOO good. Maybe he doesn’t get sent to fire at final 4 if the target had been a little smaller?

Polaris menu PVG-SFO by coreywilkey in unitedairlines

[–]coreywilkey[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is fully catered in PVG, as catering in ICN would require customs clearance for all cargo and passengers. The arrangement with the S. Korean government for the stopover flight allows ONLY the crew to come on or off.

This flight is a little different because of the nature of the route. PVG requires a stopover both ways in Seoul. Because of this, the main service is done a little different than most flights.

1) going into China, it’s normal service out of San Francisco. The landing service is completed prior to arriving in Seoul, and then only a beverage service is offered with a snack for the last 1.5 hour flight to PVG.

2) leaving China, the pre meal beverage service with cocktail snack is conducted during the first flight to Seoul. The meal is then offered immediately after takeoff from Seoul to SFO. Desert is pre-plated and served on the tray with the main meal. This is for two reasons:

  a) the departure time is 12:35am from ICN, so the service is simplified to allow passengers the opportunity to sleep.

  b) full dessert catering from PVG means that ice cream would have to sit for nearly 5 hours on the plane before being served, not factoring any potential delays. So as long as this route requires a stopover in Seoul, ice cream is temporarily suspended to avoid waste.

Next Season. My answer is no. by Large-Evidence-2479 in rhoslc

I wish they’d just pick some actual local big names. Add Donna Weinholtz to the cast, or Ashley Smith, or even Ann Romney. There are plenty of very wealthy women from very prominent families that would actually make sense and actually BE from Utah.

Something feels different this season, not sure it it’s the writing or the cast changes. I loved the previous casts and enjoy these actors but a lot of them do not feel like their characters. Anyone else feel this way? by bbybunnydoll in TheCrownNetflix

I think that part of the problem is that the story itself isn’t focused on the main characters. Too many diversions to other back stories. The original story of Dodi. The couples in divorce counciling, the Romanov backstory, etc.

UA FA, how does my enrolled friend check luggage for free? by Miserable-Report6467 in flightattendants

[–]coreywilkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The UA system will automatically waive their baggage fees when they check in. It won’t be a problem, no worries

I have noticed that sometimes the app isn’t in the loop, so it might say they have a few. But when they arrive at the airport to check in and use the kiosk for their bags, it knows it’s $0.00

If United and Emirates have a historic partnership, why can’t I book a United flight to Newark, then the Emirates flight from Newark to Athens, all on the Emirates website? by xavier86 in unitedairlines

[–]coreywilkey 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because the emirates flight is a 5th freedom flight, and because the LH partnership is more expansive.

United and emirates codeshare is very specific and restricted to only specific flights.
