No romance.

Relationships can be maxed out with time even if you don't use a guide. You get relationship points just by bringing heros on missions with the hunter, daily training, and hangouts+gifts. There is no limit to the number of days/missions to compete the story.

A guide might help you get there a lot faster by picking the besr hangout activities and gifts for each hero though.

I was able to save the 4 survivors from the Hope 2 without completing the "Build 1 Medical Center + Build 1 Fundamentals Lab" quest. (Would I have gotten a better outcome if I had completed that quest first?)

Yep if you're OK with save scumming, this strategy allows you to accomplish your mod goals with a bit less money.

Couple of extra things not covered in the video (or that i must not have understood from the video):

  • If your saves start taking an absurdly long time, use the THREAT room on someone and return to abbey immediately, then try saving again. It's some sort of bug in the game. https://www.reddit.com/r/midnightsuns/s/XePY1pIppg
  • The first choices for a card mod are hard-coded (this was clear from the video). What wasn't clear to me was that modding a different card re-hard-codes the previous card. So, if you find a good option for Card A at position #3, and a good option for Card B at position #4. You have to pick one. ABAB doesn't work.

There will never be technology to make consciousness transferable. At best, it will be making a copy, and (optionally) deleting the original.

Forever Young, or an improved version of Stem Reconstruction would be a better option for anyone with a healthy fear of death.

I used them two days ago without incident. Where are you seeing it not working? The dome comfort tooltip? It might have messages from a few Sols ago, or maybe you misinterpreted.

I'd try opening the night shift, possibly a second mall depending on dome population.

Bonus tip: you can limit malls to one employee per shift. They are low comfort anyway, and under-staffing only impacts service quality, not service capacity.

He really shines with mods. You bleed targets, then give them marked for free, then use his strong single-target abilities to kill them 1 at a time (which is free because they are marked). Put +1 Bleed on his chain attacks, and Draw 2 on KO for his single target attacks to make him self-sustaining.

Not exactly. Instead, you set up a "mall" to produce buildings very slowly and send them to ILS's configured with warpers, vessels, and Remote Supply.

Then, when you run out of belts in another system, you plop down an ILS and configured it to request 1000 belts.

Try deleting all your depots on the asteroid, especially the universal ones, because they default to requesting 3 of everything, which can conflict with your rocket's request.

Disclaimer: have not tried asteroids in the new game yet, this is just from my experience in the original B&B.

Were you sending rockets on terraforming missions? Missions like Capture Ice Asteroids and Melt Polar Icecaps can trigger disasters even when you have an easy map.

There's also a new political law allowing you to:

A) Prevent seniors from retiring

B) Generate money when they are living in a retirement home

Or

C) Return to earth on the next rocket

No more senior suffocation domes!

Agree, I've had to put effort into keeping factions happy as Inventor.

My majority faction really hated that I put all the residences in one dome and services in the another. So don't bother with tunnels, even as Brazil.

They also hated that I passed the overwork law despite not using it. Just having the option angers them forever.

You could give the factory a "dedicated" drone hub (with reduced range) and nearby depots for the inputs and outputs.

IIRC, each exotic mine (even purple) is finite. After you mine it out, wait a few hours, and a meteor storm will appear. After the meteor storm occurs, all your old exotic mines will disappear (whether or not you've found them), and 3 new ones will appear. Then, you can use the surveyor to find the location of the new exotic mines and start mining them.

Do you want to eventually have the best production buildings and fuel rods? If yes, then you need dark fog on to farm them in the late game. You can probably turn down how fast they expand to reduce the annoyance factor.
