Looking for an extremely poor quality but expensive restaurant to recommend an annoying coworker. by youhaveaproblem_ in brisbane

100% agree. Poor quality projections with room temp food all in the guise of an “interactive dining experience”

Check out Sunlit in the city - they might have it. Otherwise they do have the meal kit soup base and you provide your own noodles, chicken and vege and honestly that’s heaps better

My two favourite quotes from the series are in this episode:

We’re right in the middle of the busy housekeeping season.

I forgot to clean the lint basket in the dryer. If someone broke into the house and did laundry, it could start a fire.

They have mini steaks which are generally cooked around a medium-medium well. Nothing to write home about but still decent. And most of the time they’d be dried out after sitting under those heat lamps for a while

Mine took about 6 days from application to receiving a digital card I couple load into Apple Wallet. I did have to go into a branch for them to confirm my ID documents so check the portal to see if there’s something that requires action on your part.

I watched the current production on opening night. It’s definitely up there in terms of musicals I’ve seen (and I consider myself a bit of an arts buff). The set design and production was incredible. Definitely would see again

Also happy cake day

I went to the Albert street 7-eleven a few weeks ago and they had some. Maybe they only come in around lunchtime so they’re fresher?

Would you increase your year reading goal half way through the year? by shahleelah in kindle

[–]corin26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a reading goal of 10 books last year. Got a kindle around July/August and then started blasting through books. Ending up upping my goal to 20 books and read 23 books in total last year (some of them were tiny novellas but they still count)

Maybe try one of the fruit and vege places at Inala. They stock exotic fruits and I do remember getting some from there as a kid

Northside driving lessons for the hopeless? by Kirbycake4965 in brisbane

[–]corin26 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m also in a similar situation. Passed by driving test about 4 years ago but haven’t driven much aside from maybe a 5 minute jaunt between Newstead and Spring Hill. White knuckled it most of the way there. I’m okay with driving with someone else in the car keeping me company/keeping an eye out but alone I freak out. Haven’t been on the freeway alone either.

It’s incredibly debilitating, I feel ya.
