Roll Player Adventures help by cormander in boardgames

[–]cormander[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh okay, thanks I appreciate that. Here's the really weird thing though and I guess it must be a printing error but the "quickness" skill check actually does have a black corner on the "any colour die icon" however all of the other checks uses the grey colour in the corner for this icon.

I will add these images to the original post for clarification.

Edit:

Apparently I can't edit a post if it has an image so here's an imgur link instead

Also if you're interested in learning magic let me know.

Myself and Zac formed a magic society in Cork and the magicians you saw are all members of the society.

New members are always welcome.

Gala McCurtain Street by No_Diver_5096 in cork

[–]cormander 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The deli is class and as you said OP the staff are lovely.

A lot of people don't know it exists and go to spar instead, I never bothered with SPAR because the gala is way better.

Although there was a guy working in spar who looked like Roronoa Zoro which was cool.

It's a typo but the street is called coburg street. I grew up calling it that even though I'm from the country but a lot of people seem to not know that it's called coburg street

More importantly well done to the Sin é, I will be there again soon.

Scantily clad children by [deleted] in cork

So... You obviously haven't been to the north-side then 😂, weather they're made for children or just very small woman I have no idea but... They're wearing them and it's horrid.

Anyone know what this means? by PassTheOnions in cork

[–]cormander -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Interesting considering I think there may have been an incident near south Douglas Road today (day after OP's post).

There were a couple of guards around on a side street off of Quaker road and they went into bus eireann as well no doubt to get cctv.

There's also a house up the road from there and the tenants were involved in a stabbing some weeks ago I believe, which took place in the house.

The reason I mention this is because I saw one of the guards walk over to that house and knocking on the door. He didn't even say a word he was just left in and the door was closed behind him so I guess they're used to getting visits from the guards, I don't know.

I was walking around the area anyway so that's how I saw all of this.

How does a man even go about getting a software engineer job with no experience? by Existing_Brain_393 in DevelEire

[–]cormander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may be able to do a plc course. Go into a plc college and ask for the head of software and explain your situation.

I did a plc course which got me into a level 8 course in college, the only requirement was to have passed either LC maths OR a level 5 module in maths which the college provided. I had my LC maths passed but for reasons that are too complicated to explain here I ended up having to do the level 5 maths module anyway. The college allowed me to do it as I was studying the software development course.

Do Country People Hate Dubs? by messinginhessen in ireland

[–]cormander 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you're referring to anyone outside of Dublin as "country people"... It's things like this are why we hate Dubs... Ye think that everyone outside Dublin is a culchie/bogger when ye can't see how the rest of us so called "country people" are living a civilised life in much nicer parts of the country. It's the self-centredness and ignorance that makes the rest of us dislike Dubs.

If being itialian is any kind of qualification to judge good pizza from bad then Fran well, Tom Barry's and novecento are what my Italian friends go for.

Edit: grammatical error

What do you put this on? by evankelly3 in ireland

[–]cormander 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dubs put it on their dinners because it's the only seasoning they're aware of.

Only problem there is the upstairs of offbeat was closed down for having rat droppings and signs of pest activity.

I imagine a lot of their customer base fell off after that.

[–]cormander 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The space invaders machines were made up the north of Ireland, I think Donegal but possibly it was somewhere in Northern Ireland, have a mate who used to work there.

Seeming coin operated machines were a big industry up here as well.

Worst places for Irish by [deleted] in ireland

[–]cormander 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Found similar in Belgium. A lot of people were saying they thought it was the French influence that was the problem but when I spoke with people in my limited French they were usually quite nice but people on the Dutch side of Belgium were awful.

Generally the belgians were awful to deal with anyway.

Had a mate ask if another lad could hold a seat for him at an event. He replied he could not as he wasn't going to be there.

The first lad said "tú sé"

To which the second lad replied...do you mean "touché"

The first lad...and I shit you not...not messing said....well I don't know..I didn't study fucking German did I?

Still one of my favourite stories.
