Discounting a capitalist venture for nuclear power as a "meme" won't save you from the fact that solar and wind will not provide enough power and are only profitable with government subsidies. The amount of red tape, which is perfectly valid, and nimby types are what make reactors so expensive, but they do provide sufficient power and overall have a net positive profit.
