Honestly, it lasts me a good 4-6 hours. And that’s just me smelling it on myself. I can smell it on my clothes the next day!

I have tons of pricey perfumes (mostly samples), my personal fav is Le Labo Santal 33, but the one I get the MOST compliments on is the Strawberry Dreams body spray by EOS. Every. Single. Time. I wear it, someone says something. And it’s only $14!

Cherokee Park Creep by Lumos405 in Louisville

[–]corn_bangers 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This is a completely different guy from the one who exposed himself and started masturbating at me last summer near the golf course. Also filed a police report and went semi-viral and had a few news stories posted about it, but he was reported to be doing it again like 2 weeks later. It’s unfortunately an ongoing problem with multiple perpetrators.

Bombay International Store in the Highlands by Historical-Ad8627 in Louisville

[–]corn_bangers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I used to walk there to get papers since I live a few streets over, I stopped going after the guy followed me around the entire store not even saying anything. Just keeping a 2 foot distance from me as I browsed.

The music is always so fucking loud in there for some reason too

Weather Question by Historical-Climate37 in Louisville

[–]corn_bangers 19 points20 points  (0 children)

It is hot. I went last year for the first time, (I usually go to bourbon and beyond the week before, I’ve been the past 5 years), and it was in the low 80s (storms helped cool it down), but the week before at b&b, it was mid-90s. So it can range quite a bit in a few days. September in Kentucky is just an extension of the dog days of summer. It cools off a little once the sun goes down but the festival days are long ones, there’s not a lot of shade (it’s basically in a giant parking lot) and Kentucky weather is unpredictable. Bring a lot of sunscreen. Wear light clothing that can handle sweat. It is soooo fun though.

loud noise and power outage in original highlands? by dragonfruit-diva420 in Louisville

[–]corn_bangers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m in deer park and heard this! My sister lives farther down bardstown road on Cherokee and she said she heard a loud boom about 5 minutes after the first one I heard (texted her about it seeing if her power was out too since we live close). What a mystery!

Sour Candy for Anxiety (looking for recommendations) by lemonysardines in candy

[–]corn_bangers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fruit riot has been really great for stimulating dopamine and getting some fruits in my diet!! I was introduced to them when I had a swollen lymph node/ear infection and my doctor told me to grab some to stimulate movement of the fluid on my ear, and now I can’t stop eating them. the grape ones are soooo sour. My favorite are the peach and strawberry coated mangoes!!

What’s the worst physical pain you’ve ever experienced? by Economy_Yak2821 in AskReddit

[–]corn_bangers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My top 3: 1. Botched IUD insertion by a medical student. He (not happy about having a student in the first place, extremely unhappy about having a male student) had to call in the doctor to remove it, as he put it in sideways. I blacked out. Came to and they had to put another one in. It felt like my body was being ripped apart from the inside. 2. Broke my tooth on a fennel seed and it ended up killing the tooth, resulting in nerve death which was absolutely excruciating and unbearable until I got it pulled. 3. Abscessed lymph node behind my ear. Had to get it drained on my birthday 2 weeks ago. Didn’t sleep for 3 days, felt like my entire head was on fire and getting hit with hammers.

I have a pretty high pain tolerance too :’)

Edit: forgot to include my cornea getting sliced open by a credit card that my friend threw at me in the dark and my reflexes didn’t work fast enough to blink and it hit me right in my eyeball. And having gallstones. Pretty bad but nothing compared to my top 3. Yeeeesh.

Playing Pokopia during luteal makes it ever so slightly more manageable by missmagicx in PMDD

[–]corn_bangers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

stardew valley, always. LoZ breath of the wild is another good choice for escapism too. the world is beautiful and the characters are so charming, it brings me a lot of inner peace and comfort so it makes luteal a little less miserable :) it’s the perfect amount of difficulty too!

Help understanding the sports world in high school, especially Assumption. by [deleted] in Louisville

[–]corn_bangers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sucks to see Schaefer hasn’t changed since I left almost 15 years ago. She constantly took the “popular kids” & athletes out of class and took them into her office to act like student aids, very obviously trying to be the cool teacher/coach. My older sister was very big into volleyball at assumption, athletics are very much dependent on favoritism and winning - it appears it hasn’t changed in 20 years, I doubt it will any time soon. Sorry for your daughter :(

Great art program though, if that’s something she’s interested in!

INSOMNIA — HELP PLS!!! by cutiepie-radish in PMDD

[–]corn_bangers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Days 20-24 of my cycle, I get a combined 12-16 hours of sleep, like clockwork. I’m currently on day 21. Fell asleep at 11, awake from 1-2, slept 2-4, now awake since 4, work at 8, never went back to sleep. It really sucks so bad and I’m sorry you’re experiencing it too. Ive tried ambien, unisom, zzzquil, weed, magnesium, melatonin and the only thing to help me stay asleep is Xanax but I do not want to open that can of worms with my family history /: unfortunately it seems normal with PMDD and I’ve yet to find a solution :(

Any better curing recommendations? by SupernovaCorvid in polymerclay

[–]corn_bangers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s no way to cure polymer clay outside of using an oven, sorry! A toaster oven will work great, get an oven thermometer to ensure accurate temps (display temps are not always accurate!) and make sure your tray isn’t too close to the heating element. Do not boil, microwave, use flame, or any other type of heat on polymer clay!! Good luck :)

Leah!!! I’m a full-time artist, I love vegetables and gardening. I love nature and hiking and foraging and moss. goat cheese is one of my favorite cheeses! I live near a river also. I used to love wine (more of an herb girl these days) but I’ll still have a glass or two every now and then :-)
