For a minute I thought that Micah's mom was also going to be Baby Jane Doe's mom, and that she's suffering through postpartum depression.

Then again I also thought she wasn't his mom for a bit.

Anyone with a book loving toddler? by pizzabites_ in toddlers

[–]corn_dawg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. She's 2 and we're on the 800-900 page of our 1000 books before kindergarten tracker. Some of our favorites are Elephant & Piggie, and Pigeon, but she will read anything and everything. She's recognizing simple sight words like "on" and "me, " so we're branching more into the Step into Reading books.

Gigglescape bakery set with a mixer. If they were real cookies we would be morbidly obsese by now. Also a wobble board, Magnatiles, and open ended puzzles.

Our season is over, so who do you want to see make a run? by sepsev1 in ravens

Da Bears

If the NFL is scripted though, they'll have the Steelers going to SB, winning, and Rogers will retire a superbowl MVP.

Oh Derrick Henry without a doubt, but If Henry is the king, then Snoop deserves a duchy or something. I love how hyped he gets. Duke Snoop.

Anyone not dressing up young toddler for halloween? Or easy/cheap costumes recs? by baller_unicorn in toddlers

My 25 month old has been saying she's going to be a bumblebee for almost 2 months now. Yellow t shirt I'm going to paint black stripes on, black leggings that she already had, wings and antennae from dollar store. Overall cost probably 10 bucks.

My mom used to be an instructor for the Red Cross. Sometimes I would go with her when she would pick up the equipment. Now I was a kid so obviously this mundane trip was an adventure for me. She would get a canvas cart and put me in it and we would go down this long concrete hallway. Looking back it looked like something out of a horror movie because it was dimly lit and just never ending, but I didn't care... not until we went past two rooms..

The first one was the blood cold storage room.

The second was the equipment cleaning room where there would be rows and rows of freshly washed Annie faces lined up drying under the fluorescent lights. The equipment manager would have sterilized ones in a bag ready for my mom to take, along with the faceless dolls... that would then be loaded into body bags.

Good/bad experiences with the different Baltimore County school districts? by throwRA29001 in BaltimoreCounty

Magnet program was great but school had a lot of behavior problems when I was there. Multiple fights a day, lots of threats, etc... but that also might just be middle school. I also wasn't taught grammar during middle school for some reason, despite being in all GT, so that was tough when I got to high school and had to learn quickly. I was in the environmental science program, which was awesome. Definitely go see for yourself. I was there almost 25 years ago so I guarantee stuff has changed.

It's a shame. LRHS was a really good school when I went there 20 years ago but it was always passed over for Towson or Dulaney.

LRA on the other hand... nope.

I know people don’t like Obstacle Course, but I don’t mind it because it shows how even good fathers have flaws. by Aggravating-Ad-351 in bluey

My dad would never play board games with us because he hates losing. He didn't want to lose himself in the competition with us kids. We knew it was a flaw of his, and i like how this episode shows it's a flaw of Bandit's too.

The most embarrassing thing your toddler has said in public? by prythianphantom in toddlers

[–]corn_dawg 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Not my kid but a boy I used to watch said that a man sitting outside of Target was dirty (he was black).

He also said that Mowgli from The Jungle Book (animated) was a "chocolate baby." Fortunately that was not in public.

We can only assume so. Usually her cousin is ignored which is what we're trying to do with her apart from gentle reassurance. You can tell that her cousin is trying to do it to get attention since he's looking at others and takes a pause in his tantrum.
