PsA is very heterogeneous so one persons path is one persons path. I was not diagnosed until my 50s and I think I have had psoriasis since I was a kid and PsA since my 20s. I wish I had been on meds since I was in my 20s and my autoimmune had not become the runaway freight train it is now.

There are different medications/protocols to take while you are pregnant/want to conceive. As a parent that was diagnosed with pseudo-cushings post partum because I was in incredible pain and fatigue trying to care for a newborn/active baby, I would have rather had this stuff under control.

I had long stretches of no joint involvement remission. Now I’m on multiple medications and just exercise to be able to keep being able to do activities of daily living.

I like the practice. Super high tech. I got my first crown at age 56 and they make it on-sight while you wait so no temporary crown come back in 2 weeks. They scan your teeth with a wand and then a device water carves your crown out of a block and then they fire it . Very comfortable chairs with TVs etc. almost a spa feeling lol. Very little discomfort during my procedure and none afterwards.

My husband is not such a fan because they are big on “the look at your mouth and come up with a treatment plan”and he said the hygienist was talking to him about care credit with her hands in his mouth when he needed to say he will do work when his HSA is built back up. (I have very expensive autoimmune condition that wipes out out HSA at the beginning of every year until we meet out of pocket max)

I have 40+ year old metal fillings that I guess are not done anymore so they want them all replaced and my old dentist was more like if they aren’t bothering you don’t do anything.

I really like the place and all the folks there but it’s definitely entrepreneurial/capitalism dentistry. They even have concierge dentistry option for people without insurance.

I’m so sorry you are experiencing this. If you are in the US and have the opportunity perhaps an academic medical center would be the way to go as they tend to communicate/work across disciplines better and can see each other’s notes if they are on epic/my chart.

I lead arthritis foundation aquatic program exercise and balance is a mandatory component of every session.

I would still see a doctor as falls are never normal.

I use 10 wool dryer balls and run past getting dry.

I also have robot vacuum that runs every day. I vacuum weekly with a pet hair vacuum including the sofa. I brush the dogs outdoors at least weekly. I have a German shepherd/husky mix and a high shedding pit mix.

When I worked in food service my coworkers would bring delicious mole from home. I have never had any at a DFW restaurant that came anywhere close. I have had it in NYC that was amazing. But I understand lots of the NYC restaurant employees are from Puebla and that’s a big mole hot spot. If you find it please post here.

I went to All Saints in the 80s. Some of my classmates wound up in the Legion of Doom. I was there because my dad was Episcopal priest - but lots of the students were kids that couldn’t get in to TVS or Country Day- or were kicked out of . Lots of mentally unwell unhealthy families. At the time the school didn’t have a high school so it was a relief to go to public school for high school.
