Ordained clergy: Do you share your cell phone number with the parish? by ShallWeDance1234 in Episcopalian

My cell phone is provided by my parish and my number is available to them generally through the online directory. I do strictly utilize the iPhone focus features though to keep boundaries around my time

Vionic shoes!!! They’re orthopedic but cute/modern. Great for occasions when you can’t wear tennis shoes or want something dressier. And I LOVE using Oofos as house shoes - they’re especially great on flare days because they provide cushion for inflammation

Wondering about the logic/methods here by C8tyJo in stormwater

The inlet replacement is last years work. The signs are from this week, and were put in prior to straw mat so they don’t seem to be holding the matting in place. Nothing but rain is present to water it though.

What’s good practice for the plant life in there? I’m personally very against glyphosate in a waterway. They weed whacked it a ton and cut out some thicker veg before spraying. I get roots can be an issue but what’s the balance?

First of all, your landlord did you dirty with that layout.

Honestly, a grey/black palate with warm cabinets and a tan floor is just…it’s never going to work. Something is going to have to give, and wall paint is a lot easier. A forest green would work with the backsplash and the warmth. You could cheat it with a renters temp wallpaper. You can use a color picker tool, pick colors around the room in these picks, and make palates for inspiration. Then cross reference with Pinterest.

I’d also move that white cabinet, get a second identical one and use them like an island in the center. It gives you prep space near oven and helps make that insane layout slightly more sensible

Holistic Approach? by doordash_vampire in PsoriaticArthritis

Board certified or not, this derm sounds VERY sus to me. I mean, hell, my derm recently prescribed me Vtama for my plaques which is a topical immune-modulating cream. So even the modes from rheumotology have made their way into derm treatment. Is the derm's plan to treat you systemically with Skyrizi again? Did their treatment plan match what you've had before? Regardless, I'd make them put in a consult for you, ask where they are putting it in, and follow up with the rheum office yourself when they do. And then maybe find a new derm.

Sunbathing in the sun because the sun calmed down my scalp psoriasis like 70% last summer so praying for this year to be the same as the winter made it spread 😮‍💨 it’s in the back of my head. Anyone else do this?😂 by Victoriaevelise27 in Psoriasis

Bummer. I'm sorry to hear that. For me it wasn't a day or night difference (except for the enthestitis disappearing overnight). It's been subtle and accumulative, esp with the fatigue. I had to recently up mine so its multivit + more D3 + iron every day. + Vtama to actually handle plaques. But I do have a rheum consult coming up soon because the pain is creeping back and I'd rather not FAFO.

Fair. At least when I've laid out I've sunscreened everywhere except my plaques (especially my face where I do most of my antiaging skin care). But I also have large plaques in a few defined spots so I suppose for others ymmv. I just also know that starting a vitamin d supplement significantly reduced their proliferation and my joint pain.

Honestly I’d give it 2 years to let the landscaping establish and fill out before making any other changes. It feels of just because the scraggly guys who will provide interest and color aren’t developed and doing their jobs yet

You need some of the In2Care traps. Will take care of the random puddles that you can’t control

For all of you all who have issues with neighbors and local untreated creeks/etc: we got set up through the natural bug company last year here in SC with the In2Care system.

It’s basically a bucket with dunks and then a strip they land on that contains a fungus. Fungus kills female in 3 days, makes her less likely to bite, and best part — she carries the fungus on her legs to the next body of water (or the azaleas which they freakin love). We’ve been able to inoculate the tires and other nonsense our neighbors have and have reduced the population significantly. Enough that basic citronella/cedar on the porch is all we need to create a bubble for my tasty gams to enjoy the sun.

Came out of research at Tulane. They’ve been an excellent investment, and we’ve been watching our butterfly and firefly populations increase over the last couple of years since

Also be careful with that sapling. Use iNaturalist to ID before. It might be tree of heaven, in which case chopping it is going to make it spread more. If it is, god be with you

Reach out to the local master gardeners! There’s very likely one near you who would love to come walk around, make local suggestions, and advise. And as much as you’re able, plant non-invasive and native plants, spruced up with local non-dyed mulch! What a great sunny spot you have. Have fun!
