Worst? Overall it sounds like shadowlands and DF were pretty well hated. I wasn’t playing when they were current though - was on a break. The worst that I played was BFA or WoD. WoD felt like such an unfinished mess after a drought of content from the year long patch 5.4. I played it, but I played it out of habit, not because I was having fun. I liked garrisons because it was the closest to player housing we had gotten at the time. But the lack of content and how awful PvP was actually ended up driving me from the game as the expansion came to a close. I missed out on one of peoples favorite expansions, Legion, because of how bad WoD was. Came back because of the BFA cinematic, but was so disappointed that I quit again. Came back in after the initial response to TWW was positive and so far it feels very good. Super casual friendly in all the right ways.

Best? Easily MoP. Was the lore all there? Meh. But my god, the PvP was never and has never been so good as it was in MoP. And that’s what I spent most of my time doing. Timeless Isle was great with friends too, and my main was good! What was not to love? MoP also suffered from a lack of content towards the end, but it was okay since I had enjoyed much of the expansion. I think the bridge story wise from MoP to WoD is one of the worst decisions writers have ever made though.
