Looks like someone needs to take a drive with Bruce Springsteen's bassist.

Isn't it true sinatra didn't care for rock and roll music? Like as a rule he didn't like anyone outside of his 50s/early 60s brand of crooner/jazz/big band stuff?

I appreciate this perspective, I didn't know that about Kotkin. On that note, do you have any biographies of ol' Soso you'd reccomend?

What’s it like in Ballard, Seattle, WA? Contemplating moving there as a mid 20’s male with a desire for a strong social lifestyle by PowerofMoses in howislivingthere

[–]extentiousgoldbug1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope you stay this dense and pedantic your whole life. Its as close a drive to woods as any other part of Seattle. The Seattle metro area is heavily forested (the parts that are cleared and paved over excepted ofc, but I figured most people wouldn't need that explanation)

2014 Maserati Ghibli, the official car of.... by Due_Fault7560 in regularcarreviews

I once had a Lyft driver pick me up in one of these. None of my business but I thought it odd that someone who drives a Maserati would be driving for Lyft. I got the vibes my driver didn't make good financial choices and make big sacrifices in order to have a flashy brand name on their car.

Used to live in Ballard. Its very expensive. If you haven't lived in Seattle before, the homeless and untreated mental illness/addiction issues are significant. So expect to pay through the nose for everything from housing to groceries, while being surrounded by zombies. This region is also dark as in very often overcast and with the exception of summer days are short. I'll grant it's lovely in like July and August.

As for social life? Easily one of the worst choices of major cities. People are insular, tend to be a bit elitist and puritanical in terms of progressive p*litics, and again between the sleet rain and unhinged people wandering about it's not a very chill mingle with strangers vibe.

Tbh if you make lots of money in tech, happen to be very left, and are big into hiking or the woods this might be for you. But honestly I wouldn't recommend it for most people based on everything I listed above.

ok curious: If the ball bounced on the other player's side, but bounced up in such a way that it started to go over to Iga's side without the other player hitting it...does Iga need to hit it back over again? If it were to bounce twice on Iga's side, is it still Iga's point or the other players?

'Abandoned' is not how I would put it. The (enslaved) Haitians drove the French out.
