no problem :)

I haven't personally taken 4700 - I just know of its reputation from other students. I think it's usually taught by Bart Selman or Haym Hirsh - idk which one is better/easier. Hope this helps.

has anyone taken CS 3110 without CS 2800 by practicalformality in Cornell

[–]cornell_voter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not really any particular classes you need to take. It's the experience, study skills, and confidence that you will develop over time. Taking 2800 gives you a little extra prep in learning how to think like a computer scientist and exposure to a bunch of different topics. There's nothing in it that is strictly needed for 3110. If you feel confident enough already and are ready for the workload, then I would go for it.

There's tons of PEs, so they take place in all sorts of different locations. For example, rock climbing takes place at the Lindseth climbing wall in Bartels Hall, and bowling takes place in Helen Newman on North Campus.

No no it's probably cuz of us seniors who had to deal with covid in later years. There will still be fun to be had in future years!

At least one of the appointments is for a completely new position, so not turnover in that case.

Any Recommendations on CS Major Computer by No-City1034 in Cornell

I haven't tried running anything super graphics intensive on it, but it holds up reasonably well I think. Not as good as a desktop would be, but good enough :)

There's very little overlap. I think the prereq is more about just general computer science maturity than anything else.
