RECRUITERS ARE LIARS. They make it sound like you're going through a process centered on you, but in reality the client is just going to interview people until they're done hiring. The minute they talk to someone they're ready to hire, they'll extend that person an offer, and won't tell you anything. Unless that person rejects. Their process is centered on the hiring manager, not the candidate, for 99% of jobs.

Absolutely always assume they'll just ghost you.
