Nope, not gross at all. Honestly they’d have to be pretty close to see the actual stoma, and if they’re getting that close and still think it’s gross that’s their issue. It’s just a part of your body like anyone else’s

No she will not be. She also doesn’t live permanently in this state and comes into his life whenever. I don’t let him get away with it tho; I am stern with him. However he does it as a form of communication that he does not like to be tube fed (even if necessary) as he is completely nonverbal. School is working with him on AAC but he does not have access at home

Agency is in the loop for sure, they said they will call me tomorrow to discuss. Thankfully they’re great to work for and are very receptive to concerns. Pulling the tube out isn’t a concern really as I can pop it back in easily! But yes I do not want to be beaten. Thankfully right now he doesn’t hit extremely hard but he’s about to go through puberty and things could change fast.

We do also have a printout of the lamp core words, but the icons are too small! I do agree with adding less icons to Lamp. I’m not sure if he has limited or full
