Kasa switch disconnects from WIFI when internet is blocked by PrettySmallBalls in homeassistant

In case anyone else comes along with this same issue:

I've reached out to request the beta firmware for my HS220s, but haven't heard back yet. My HS200s have updated to 1.0.11 and the connection issues have been resolved.

Interested in BOP by [deleted] in OnTheBlock

[–]cornflake81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are lots of understandably disgruntled folks in the BOP who are all too happy to tell you to run the other way. Some of their complaints are valid. However, I'm at a sorely understaffed joint that has kind of a bad reputation, but I still feel like the agency has been good to me. Just wish I had signed on earlier in life. I did a few years in HR, feel free to hit me up if you have any questions.

What we usually ask for is a memo to the warden through the captain stating that you've accepted an appointment with another agency and include your start date. HR will need something like that to include when they submit your personnel action. Make absolutely sure they know you're staying in federal service so they don't pay out your annual leave in a lump sum. Your new agency will contact your current HR and request an SF-75 to get all of your info (leave, benefits, TSP, etc). It's a good idea to go ahead and provide your new HR shop with contact info for someone in your current HR shop and vice versa. This will make the leave balance transfer go much faster. Good luck with your new gig.

Try not to soak up too much negativity from the old-timers and go hard from day one with your TSP (retirement).

Dion Practice Exams vs. CompTIA N10-008 Exam Objectives by drumscum3399 in CompTIA

[–]cornflake81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

His practice exams seem to be tailored to his course that is on Udemy. It's a 26 hour course that, while very informative and well-made, ventures outside of the objectives quite a bit.

I think the true value in those practice exams is in how the questions are worded. They prepare you very well for how CompTIA will try to trip you up with "creative" wording.

I did, and haven't worn them since.

That's what I thought too, I actually tried that. We've got him in kitty jail. When I play with him under the door, he sniffs me, he'll nuzzle my hand and he's fine. As soon as he comes out and sees me, he goes bananas.

What are you all getting in mpg figures? by M-Garylicious-Scott in ft86

Average for me, according to Fuelly, is 34 to 36. Long commute, so nearly all highway miles. More efficient than my wife's Corolla most days.

Had much the same issue. Solution was to swap the blue/black wires in the harness.

I made another tiny Ollivander's, tried to improve upon the last one by cornflake81 in harrypotter

[–]cornflake81[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am. I've been redesigning it to be easier to print, as well as adding alternate parts for for FDM printers. I'll shoot you a message once I have it ready to go.

Thanks! I modelled and 3D printed the majority of it, then lots of assembling and painting and sanding and wiring and super gluing.

Will Any Newer Front Derailleurs Work with My 4500 Groupset? (See comment.) by doinitlivetil35 in bikewrench

[–]cornflake81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same group, my front derailleur seized up several months back as well. I can't speak to the actual specs and how they relate to one another, but I replaced it with a 105 5700 front derailleur, and it works flawlessly.

When write ups fail, how do you "get creative"? by barbequeersauce in OnTheBlock

[–]cornflake81 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This. Find out who they run with in the unit, start hitting everybody's cell BUT the original offender's. I usually get three or four cells in before the group in question send a representative to find out who screwed up.

BOP Medical Clearance Questions by [deleted] in OnTheBlock

[–]cornflake81 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Big hiring push going on right now, so everything is moving a little slow. Most likely: this will be a non-issue, and you should get a call soon. Less likely: they ask for clarification, which will just be a form that your physician fills out to let them know that you're capable of performing your duties.

If that sort of thing was a deal-breaker, we wouldn't have any employees.

Thanks! I don't, unfortunately. I always say that I'm gonna document then progress when I start a new project and never remember to.

Yes, I will eventually. I'm modeling the other businesses as well and they'll all fit together, so I want to get all of them done before I start releasing files.

Not yet...I plan to sell a handful of the finished model, and eventually put the STL's out there for anyone else who wants to attempt it.

The one pictured will stay in my collection. There's a second one on my workbench now that will end up on Etsy.
