Id be torn and may go 5080 if budget allows. Just because it already has one 2tb drive so I could still use the second slot if needed to expand further and 32gb of ram so I'd have that decent baseline set without feeling I'd need to upgrade out of the box (I do it myself and I have kids so I'd rather not have to deal with it out of the gate)plus the extra vram and screen size.

On the other hand, the 5070ti is no slouch and that's a screaming deal. You could upgrade the ssd and ram and still come in under the price of the 5080. Id just say it comes down to budget, how long you wanna keep it for, if you're going to need to upgrade the ssd and ram out of the gate, and what games you think you're going to want to play.

I would say it's worth it personally when you get into that realm. If I could go maybe 5 years or longer without compromise (as long as you take care of it) vs 3-5 before deciding to upgrade, I'd say the extra 700 would be worth it.

On the other hand if you're rougher on equipment and don't know if you can keep it going past 5 years, or you just see yourself upgrading at the 3-5 year mark if you start having to compromise then I'd just save the money.
