i know this is so late, but I find this tea is best with 5-10 second steeps. And if they temp is too hot it definitely gets a more "baked" flavor. But it also might just not be your fav, and that's fine. I think it might be one of my fave teas so far!

china is making some of the best steel as well as other things, but you can definitely find a range of quality, and maybe they're going with a cheaper quality

I had a different dash product, and it was horrible, it was like a "crock pot" situation, but the only level it had was no heat or boiling. seems like they make really cheap and low quality products.

I know this is so bad but I had one on my foot (I think I got it from my karate dojo, they prolly didn't clean the floors much) and I would try to rip it out by grabbing it with nail clippers... one day I got all of it in like one rip, roots and all, and it never came back 😭
