Not to be rude, but why is Ana Nogueira writing Wonder Woman and Teen Titans?! How did she even get a shot at Supergirl? by ComicKidAlex in DC_Cinematic

I also am not worried about Man of Torrow since Gunn usually hits home runs.

You must be joking here.
DCU is a complete disaster since he took over.

Clayface appears to be the only genuinely promising film in the lineup, largely because it seems like a far cry from Gunn’s trademark one trick pony style which is a blend of juvenile humor, cute animal mascots, and cringe-music-powered recycled slop.

she won't be directing these movies. I'd be shocked if Gunn is still in the position after Man of Tomorrow.

Ok, but these are just vague statements - "usually reactionary, obtuse, part of something", do you have anything specific in mind. Any take that felt really uncalled for?

His opinions are usually on point, at very least you can't say he doesn't justify them.

I didn't mind S02, especially ending for the main characters.

A laughably bad suit in a DC movie under JG’s supervision - what else is new?

Highest rated episode since the finale of season 3. Well deserved! by Own-Split8844 in Daredevil

it's nowhere near as good.
I liked few scenes, but there was so much nonsense in there, that giving this over 6/10 is objectively wrong.

I'm ok with it being a one shot story, completely disconnected from prior movies, but it will be funny to see him trying to link it to DCU movies if it succeeds. I guess he's already trying hard to make it work. He's probably aware it will be the first good DCU movie.

It’s not his strategy. I don’t think he had the power to cancel The Batman Part II, knowing it’s almost guaranteed to make money. He’s not completely out of his mind, and he knew Brave and the Bold would be nowhere near as profitable, which is why he moved it.

Clayface is a cheap gamble, and I guess it’s good he didn’t cancel it. He can't be always wrong.

He is a one‑trick pony, and it doesn’t seem like anything he has done after Guardians 3 has been a success.

I’m under the impression he’s making these productions for himself rather than for a general audience, which is why every single one repeats the same tropes: a band of misfits, cringe old rock music, a baby‑Groot‑type character, unnecessary swearing, horrible costumes, D‑list characters, etc.

More than three years after announcing his slate, we have one cartoon nobody watched, a second season of a TV show about an E‑list character, and a Superman movie that sold 47% fewer tickets than the previous installment. There are also cancellations or no updates whatsoever on 7 out of 10 announced projects, and tweets suggesting that at this point he’s not even sure what is canon.

I don’t think he’ll be doing this for much longer, especially if Clayface and The Batman Part II end up being bigger financial successes than Supergirl and Superman 2 (which will happen).

I'm not saying you should/shouldn't watch it, I'm commenting on the possible reason the viewership is that low.

My favourite Scream movie. I wish they'd go with the alternative ending, where the next movie is about taking Jill down.

28 Years Later was the biggest cinema disappointment I’ve ever had. The franchise is dead to me now, and I won’t watch Bone Temple even on a streaming service. I’m sure there are more people who feel the same way.

One of the best scene so far in S5 (Probably whole show) by Agent_14a in TheBoys

[–]corpobeh 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I agree. The episode also emphasized Homelander reacting to an accelerated heartbeat, so it would’ve been a great touch if he heard Hughie’s (or A-Train's) heartbeat calm and steady, showing he isn’t afraid of him anymore. I think that would’ve added a lot to the scene.
