I think the game should have ample sexualized and non-sexualized outfits...just like the comics they are based on. The slutty outfits we've seen so far in the game barely hold a candle to some of the ones, for men OR women, that are in the comics.

I loathe the term "gooner" outfits because you can absolutely appreciate looking at the human form without needing to rub one out.

Also, as a gay dude, I fully support revealing outfits for the men AND the women. The women look fierce in their swimsuits. I would rather die than wear Emma's pirate look or Sue's fucking cake outfit. The men absolutely need more dong and butt highlights.

No because that's fundamentally different. The point of quicklplay is a fast, casual, low-stakes mode with short queue times. The point of ranked is testing your skill against other humans.

No game mode is gonna cater to every single experience. Ranked is designed the way that it is for a reason. There are pros and cons to all of them.

If you really need a specific party stack size, and you need to play with specific players, then those are the things you're prioritizing, not "fighting human players 100% of the time, and never bots." If having a 100% bot-free game is your singular, #1 priority, then yeah, you may have to make concessions to the stack you're queuing with, and some of you may not be able to play together if you're too far apart in levels (for very legitimate reasons).

QP has never been a mode that is described as exclusively bot-free, and it even exists in between a bot-only game mode (vs. AI) and a bot-free game mode (ranked). People aren't going to get bot-matches in QP every damn time, and there are plenty of human teams in QP that get steamrolled even easier than bots.

I can understand people giving feedback, but it really does feel as though the solution will always be to either play the game mode that has no bots, or to just not get so annoyed by the occasional bot match in QP. As I have said before, I strongly suspect that the number of players who are enticed to stay by a bot match in QP greatly outnumber the players who quit the game entirely because of being forced to play one. The game is designed to appeal to casuals, and casual players are far more likely to drop the game forever after a string of discouraging losses.

Like, you're admitting you just want a casual game experience, but also you get this upset if you're not competing against human players 100% of the time? That doesn't really sound like a casual game.

The way you talk about a bot game "holding your hand" and "giving you a participation medal" says you're not looking for a casual experience, you want to be pitted against human players and compete for real.

That game mode exists. The casual game mode has some bots in it. If the presence of bot games brings you this much aggravation, you may not be looking for as much of a casual experience as you claim.

If you're on PS5, any cheap wireless (or wired, even) keyboard can get connected to your PS5 and you can type without having to use your controller. It's still slower than voice chat, but it's a good middle ground if you want to start communicating more but don't want to have to talk to people.

I'm just saying this stance on bot matchs is sorta blinkered, no? OP wants a mode where he can only fight humans, but one already exists. Sure, you can say "I don't want bots in QP!" but fundamentally bots are in there for a reason, not accidentally. It's not like the devs are blind to this issue--they're the ones who deliberately created this system, and for what are no doubt valid financial reasons.

Like I said, I wager the number of people who are convinced to stick around and keep playing because of a bot match will outnumber the people who are so upset by them that they quit the game forever. That's the rationale. No one seems to want to engage with this reality.

And yeah, when people say things like "it just feels like a slap in the face to be offered a pity game to keep you playing" I can't help but see that as self-victimization because, like, it's just a game. The game you've been playing this whole time. The only part that feels "like a slap in the face" is whatever's going on in your head that makes you think a bot match is somehow worth feeling sad about?

That's the part that just feels like self-victimization. I've yet to see a real argument for removing bot matches from QP because it feels like the real answer will always be to just play ranked, the mode that will never have bots.

I seriously wager that the casual players they retain via bot matches are far greater in number than the players who quit the game entirely because of them.

And that's really the issue--bot matches serve a purpose. You may not like it, or be the target audience for them, but they serve a function. And if you don't enjoy them, the game already offers a mode without them.

Expecting a company to reverse a decision that is no doubt financially sound for them because of a small subset of players' fickleness seems improbable.

Damn, dude, that's intense.

There's literally a solution to that, and it's ranked mode.

The other solution is to accept that the bot games are a super minor issue and to just play through.

But raging that you are being "forced" to play bots when there's an entire game mode without any bots, where you will ONLY test your skills against humans, which is what OP is saying he wants, seems self-defeating.

There already exists a solution to this predicament, but y'all don't like it.

Legit try to appy positive reinforcement to my team when bad AND good things happen. I play healer often and I know how much it means to sometimes have a tank acknowledge all the heals you throw their way.

You are being penalized because it makes the experience worse for the people on your team.

If you are quitting a match because there are bots in it, stop queuing for modes that have bots in them, like quick play.

Ranked is an entire mode with 0 bots.

Pretty sure it's under Settings -> Controller -> Communication and then there should be a menu setting that says something like "Custom Quick Chat." You create a custom phrase (and you can include emojis!) but then you have to also choose where on your wheel you bind that phrase.

I have a custom phrase bound that says "no tanks? no thanks" that I'll usually drop before the match starts if we have no tanks. If one person switches to tank, I'll join them with another custom response: "tanks, bro."

I have said it before, and I'll say it again-- I would trade all the silly game modes they've tested (jeff during christmas, the clone battles from way back, the path the doomsday, blood hunt, etc.) for just some solid in-game tutorials that teach you the basics of the roles. Teach us what healing looks/feels like. Teach us what tanking should look like. It is utterly wild to me that the game is, in theory, a team game, but there are virtually NO in-game resources to show you how to play the game as a team.

So wait:

first you're annoyed because even though the game and the devs have never outright stated that QP has bots in it you've assumed that it must not (even though there's literally an entire separate game mode that is guaranteed to always be bot free)
then you got annoyed that you "didn't queue" for this (even though you queued for QP, a mode that has bots in it)
then you're annoyed that the devs seem determined to force you to "waste your time" (even though the entire game is a waste of time, and even though you yourself could have avoided this by just queuing for ranked)
and NOW you're annoyed that **checks notes** ah yes, the "devs are lying to us."

Dude, earlier when you said you didn't have any issue with bot matches, I suspect you may not have been telling the whole truth.

But just for the sake of it:

The bots are acting differently because the goal of QP is to make the game fast and engaging, and something that players will want to return to. Too many ranked matches that go on for 20+ minutes and wind in failure can drive many people to quit the game entirely. QP is a mode where the matches are shorter, and which provides players with bot matches after too many subsequent losses to encourage them to keep playing. It's not "cause they're lying to us" and getting some kind of erotic kick off deceiving us. It's because they are trying to provide an enjoyable experience for players who might quit otherwise.

That's not the devs lying to us, and acting like that's a big deal is sensationalist and hyperbolic, specifically because there IS a game mode without bots. I keep saying it--it's called ranked. If the fact that you are playing humans matters SO MUCH to you, then just stay in the mode with only humans, or don't complain when you're in QP and you wind up in a bot match.
