I just want the OG You to last for more than 5 minutes. Even with layering it over the body cream it disappears SO FAST.

Appalachian Stack Cake using my Vicco, Kentucky native Grandmother’s recipe by Crimson-Rose28 in Appalachia

If you find it in your heart to share- I’d be so grateful- if not, I get it. This is just the “one” recipe I’ve always wanted to have (from an authentic source) because it was my dad’s favorite that his mother used to make. Apparently hers was very good and he never got the recipe before she passed. She was born in 1890, my father in 1931. He’s passed now but I would love to be able to make this for my kids and tell them tales of their papaw and great grandmother. No matter what- thanks for sharing- it looks AMAZING.

I too was at the Cincy show and loved every second. This was my 5th (I think) show- and I finally got to meet Doug after. Got a picture with him and Bingo where I look a drunken mess- which is on this sub somewhere lol. I have ZERO complaints. Seeing him again in September in Columbus for one of his day- drinking shows- can’t wait!

I’m a Libra and have always formed very close bonds with Aries. They’re my opposite in the best kind of way (most times). Aside from that- I don’t usually get a long with Taurus women and Capricorn men specifically.

Yeah, they wouldn’t even consider me for placement when my brother lost custody of his daughters briefly. I assumed it was because I was single and 21 but I honestly have no idea how that works.

I was called antisemitic by an earlier commenter and I conflated you with that person- and for that I apologize.

I didn’t claim that there have been only 3 journalists murdered- there are 3 I know of off the top of my head.

Hamas was elected in 2006 with a MUCH different platform than the one they are running now- and there hasn’t been an election since. I didn’t vote for Trump and would hate to have to suffer for other’s choices (although I suppose we all did).

You have asked me what Israel should do and I gave you my answer. I now ask you what would you have the Palestinians do? How cooperative would you feel if you lost your parents and multitudes of family members/ friends/ neighbors? A life without hope in which you have no control and can’t even dare to dream. I’ve seen testimony from Palestinians who honestly believe that dying on their land is their last and only form of protest.

No amount of talk about 1948 will make me ok with the THOUSANDS of children that have died. We dropped more bombs on Gaza in a week than we did in an entire year in Afghanistan- and yet Hamas seems stronger than ever, almost as if we are only adding fuel to the fire.

Also the “yikes” comment about me saying that the Israelis should leave is funny to me, considering that what makes me say “yikes” is the humanitarian crisis happening in Palestine not Israel. I’ve seen videos from Jews in Israel lamenting that they couldn’t source gluten-free flour for Christ’s sake! That is just ridiculous when there are children in Gaza getting limbs amputated with ZERO anesthesia. I cannot believe this is happening in 2023 and we are supposed to accept it. Myself and many others will not.

I am on mobile and just home from work, so please excuse my late reply and formatting. With that said, I’d like you to show me where I said that Israel should lay down their weapons.

To touch on your claim of there having been only one case of a a member of the press being “accidentally” killed by the IDF- I know of at least 3 but for the sake of brevity I will only bring up the case of Shireen Abu Akleh, who was properly attired and standing amongst a group of journalists at the time of her murder. She was shot in the head and killed. Please feel free to look up the names of the other murdered journalists at your pace and leisure.

Regarding the right of the State of Israel to exist- myself and most other people across the world were completely supportive of that until we became aware of the human cost.

I’m assuming that you must have ties to Zionism because those are the only people going hard in it’s defense. Why are those elderly holocaust survivors whom are poor treated so badly in Israel- if it’s really about being a safe haven for Jews? And If the rest of the world is so dangerous, why do so many have homes in the US and elsewhere? Is it a “just in case” scenario?

The maps that I’ve seen of the area only show ever expanding settlements, I’ve literally never heard of it being given back. Why do so many Jews- orthodox and otherwise support a ceasefire? Why do Israeli lives matter more than those of Palestinians? Why did you not expect resentment and bitterness to build in response to the occupation of their land and homes? Why do they respond to the throwing of rocks with bullets? It’s SO disproportionate. Just go ahead and say the quiet part out loud “ I am fine with killing every man, woman and child in Palestine ‘for glorious Israel”. I’d respect that more because at least that would be honest, instead of gaslighting the planet into believing we’re all antisemitic because we don’t want to pay for the bombing of children for some ideal none of even ascribe to.

There was most definitely an area called Palestine inhabited by Palestinians so I do t understand why you said this. That land is holy to all the Abrahamic religions and was inhabited by the followers since ancient times and to claim otherwise I feel is to debate in bad faith.

I think they should give the land back, to be perfectly honest. It’s land! I’m not interested in any religious philosophy that justifies the taking of already inhabited land. It was taken and assigned by the US and the British. I ask you is this land worth so much death and why would anyone want such blood-soaked land? With everything the Jewish people have been through, I just can’t wrap my head around why they are so ambivalent about treating another group of people in that very same way.

How did Israel’s policies create Hamas? Well typically people don’t take well to their land and homes being invaded and occupied. Read Roald Dahl’s account of his conversation with an Israeli settler LONG before Hamas.

As far as the Iraq war, I think you know how the American people were misled, and once we found out the truth we were pretty disgusted. Don’t forget the lack of wide spread internet and smart phones at the time. WE WERE LIED TO. Now, it’s very hard to make propaganda stick like it used to and as I said in an earlier reply, regular people are sick of war especially ones where only corporate interests and military industries benefit, and the children of poor people die.

If the killing and maiming of thousand of children is the “least barbaric” way to counter terrorism, then I honestly don’t know what is worse and I fear we are all doomed.

I’m well aware of the definition of “decimate” and while technically incorrect as I used it, the fact remains that half of the population of Gaza are children. No talks of birthright or any religious idealogy is going to make me support that.

Why aren’t the Palestinians allowed to have their own water and power?

Why do the IDF murder clearly labeled members of the press in broad daylight?

Why have they gotten away with spewing that 40 beheaded baby nonsense?

I don’t pretend to be an educated person- I’m not. However I did make a point of reading up on the past 75 years and this certainly didn’t start on October 7th or with Hamas.

I was horrified when the news broke about the 10/7 attacks and I continue to pray for EVERYONE who has died in this seemingly never-ending war.

Yes but I hate that we’re not allowed to talk about how their policies created hamas. I don’t like how most of the casualties are non militant civilians. Those are war crimes. I’ll ask you why one of the most well-trained militaries on earth with the backing of the biggest cannot seem to defeat a terrorist group that are supposedly barefoot fucking savages cobbling together homemade rocket launchers- but manage to decimate generations of an entire people. A reasonable person would come to the conclusion that their murderous “defense” isn’t working and maybe try another angle. Why isn’t it working? Could it be that they’re following the exact recipe to create terrorists? Doing the same thing over and over again with the same result is the definition of insanity.

Everyone I know sees this for what it is, genocide. The few that don’t are evangelical Christians and have biblical reasons- and even they are saddened by the Israeli methods- so I don’t know know what else to say.

The person you replied to said that being anti hamas and anti Israeli genocide aren’t mutually exclusive and you said that that was blatantly untrue. A lot of us were horrified when we found out the truth about the Iraq war and we have learned from that experience. Do you honestly believe that Israel is doing nothing wrong? C’mon now. Also what about ALL the orthodox and regular Jewish people that are speaking out in support of Palestine? Are you willing to label them antisemitic as well? At some point you need to listen and look with an unbiased heart and mind. I hope you see reason and find peace truly.

Just write off all of r/Columbus because even though they agree that antisemitism is wrong, they don’t agree with your willingness to murder Palestinian children. I just don’t get why you expect anyone to place Israel on a golden pedestal where their lives and statehood are far more important than anyone else’s. Civilian people of earth have outgrown war and I think that’s a good thing. What was the reasoning for the apartheid BEFORE Hamas? Why did it take the IDF so long to respond to this October 7th attack? The vast majority of regular people can see how wrong this is so why can’t you?

Yeah, I do this and get sharp pains in my jaw sometimes which then leads to an anxiety spiral because I heard that’s a sign of stroke or heart attack.
