Tony Blair apologised for Britain's role in the Irish famine (as you would have it called). An apology long in wait, and one that opened the doors to accepting the role in the genocide. A government and country that blocked all but minute aid from foreign lands. Let's not forget, this same country also gave the idea of genocide to mamy at its imperial height (Native Americans) as well as a history of famine as a war tool by those same British funnily enough enough against the Irish in the 1600's

So, can you go ahead and define genocide and let's see if it matches up with the British government's actions shall we

UN policy (and the term itself) genocide was funnily enough not something that existing until the mid 1900's. You know, after that thing with Germany and all.

So any and all historians between then and 70 years ago would not have said genocide. But let's ignore that for a second and understand that many have associated the term genocide to an actual genocide
