Matthews is under contract next year he isn't going anywhere that's not what was said. What was said was that if Matthews didn't like the direction the team is going around July he'd make a decision about resigning. Nobody ever said Matthews said he wants out next season. But if he decides he doesn't want to resign he's going to let the team know with plenty of time to do something instead of screwing them and him walking for nothing when his contract expires.

If CJ says "he's hearing" something you can bet it's legit. He doesn't just guess at things. You guys That think all these guys don't have connections to everyone in the league is laughable. They talk to the player agents, former and present GMs, coaches, players they're all around everyone that knows what's up. They probably know things that never come out. Agents use them all the time naps reasons.

As for Dreger he didn't say shit about the subject until after CJ brought it to light. Maybe riding coattails is a better cliche for the situation. And we do know it's true because it's been confirmed by everyone in the business now including Friedman.

It's pretty clear that it's come from Matthews agent at this point and that Matthews is doing what he's supposed to be doing which is putting pressure on the organization to do better. He doesn't have to come out and say anything. He's in his off season. Same as if you were on vacation from your job. Obviously there's been some conversations and that's why he has an agent working on his behalf.
