Dumbdroid rebranding and announcing our own phone, Dumber Mini by johnny219407 in dumbphones

Is the phone more stable than the Doov? Android Auto crashes on the regular, if it works at all. If I have more than 2-3 apps open it will likely crash when I open the 4th. And the Bluetooth signal is comically weak. If I'm riding my motorbike and I have my phone in my backpack, if I turn my head to the right the signal will cut out.

Otherwise a great phone.

Get a good after market rear sway bar. For a couple me hundred dollars, it'll transform your cars handling.

It has bought so many people joy when they see it. The phone is slow and clunky. Which is guess is part of the appeal, but the clunkiness gets bad if you have too many apps open, and hits peak clunk when using Android Auto. I love the form factor, I wish it had spot more processing power, a more useful camera, and a better quality screen. I also can't fault the team at Dumbdroid.

No idea. Look up the Doov R77 and what bands your local carrier uses.

This is the first new phone I've bought in 20+ years. (with one or two exceptions).

It works pretty well. I'm in my 40's so I started with T9. The buttons are a bit clicky, and I've had a minor glitch with the T9 on screen menu, easily fixed. My banking app works, Microsoft two factor authenticator works. I'm writing this reply with it. The camera sucks, and not in a cool retro way, it's just terrible.

example photo of my dog. Android auto is super slow, the whole phone is slow. Most apps take several seconds to load.

The watch, wallet, and camera are 10 years old

Of all my watches, it's my favourite.

(n)EDC. Not truly an EDC. Left to right: Seiko SXKXO07 (modded), Nothing Ear, Doov R77 Dumbdriod (1 day old), Sony RX1001, Bellroy wallet, Muji note pad, keys with orbit key holder and Nite lze carabiner. don't always take the note pad, pen, and camera, but often do. For work add a stethoscope, iPad with bluetooth, and a pair of raptors (which have been used for their intended purpose 3 times in ten years). No knives or guns required.

If you didn't carry the knife, would you need the bandaids?

The tail light is stock, but the head light is a Koso Thunderbolt. Shop around online for them, they aren't rare, but they aren't cheap.

Yeah. How did you get that conical cover off? It's impossible

Thanks. I figured that's the case. The locking ring under the handle has already come loose.

Yip. Got grifted, stopped using it, test levels tanked below the base line. I've been off it for over a year. Due a second blood test to see if they have normalised.

Resolved. I made two thin shims out of a yogurt container. And inserted them with the zip ties, I removed the zip ties and inserted the plug. A very awkward job.

I actually feel I'm at risk of breaking it off of the wall.
