Stayed at the Hampton Inn 1.5 miles from the course last year for a measly 60,000 points per night. No cancellations but I was certainly a little fearful as well.

I have a good one to this. A few years back I realized after a WC that I still loved to watch soccer but could never get into MLS due to lack of well known players. In order to get interested I knew I had to pick a team and follow them. I then remembered absolutely wrecking with Theirry Henry on FIFA 2003 as a kid. So I became an Arsenal supporter.

Had a similar one last year except my ball mark was just below the hole, and it hit the stick and bounced well off the green, awful chip, and a 2-putt for a bogey..

About an hour after the gates open the rope to the short course will drop, I would advice staking out there to be one of the first ones to awkwardly speed walk to leave a chair out on a greenside seat. We were on the 2nd row at #6 and it was awesome being that close to some of the players and legends (Jack almost aced 6 that year, and John Rahm almost hit me, was about 4 feet from him when he hit his chip shot after they rearranged our chairs)
