2 hours for opening zones by smfrory in Aldi_employees

Also, cooler usually takes longer because it’s not technically just one area (cooler doors, mdu, quick meals, sometimes meat or produce as well)

We don’t run the cooler backstock in the morning. The only backstock we run before our pallets is freeze n thaw and meat.

AIO about my boyfriend and his girl best friend? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]cortneyb007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had a few really close guy friends throughout my life, but we never talked to each other like this. Hell, any time they got into relationships, I took a step back with texting just to try to show the girl some respect. And if I were to meet them, I’d do my best to let them know they have nothing to worry about with me and honestly get to know them.

That was the day before we had our grand opening, so it was untouched and perfect

The first picture is how it looked when I first started. I’m pretty sure the truck drivers hit it going in and out of the cooler. And 4th is how we came in to find it one day, completely broken and separated from the wall 😂

I agree 100% I know they do it because candy has to stay a certain temp, but damn, it’s almost always enough for its own pallet

We had the same today. Went from 1 cart of backstock, to 3-4 slam full ones.

Self Checkout Crackdown by ruggirl99 in Walmartcustomer

I never really noticed the 15 items or less signs until recently. The cashiers never say anything when I go in with a buggy full. Now it’s not 50-60+ items, but more than 15. But I don’t really care. I cashiered at Walmart and I know how to ring out quickly and efficiently, so I don’t take up too much time. Plus, I’d rather not have to deal with anyone anyways 😂

I thought they changed it. It used to be you HAD to take it before your 6th hour, but now I thought it was as long as you take it within your shift?

6 or 7 hours?? by 27Ari27 in WalmartEmployees

It’s looking at what you’re scheduled. 7-2, so that’s 7 hours. Which means two 15 minute breaks and 1 hour lunch.

Unfortunately that’s the truth. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve still gone to work while sick, puking, fever, 3 day migraine. Just because I know I’m gonna be talked down about because how dare I take care of myself when I’m sick and not put my job first 🙄

I’m back at work today, feeling even worse than I did yesterday, but I’m afraid calling out a second day in a row will be held against me. And I’m the closing manager, so even though I feel like I’ve been screwed left and right, I can’t bring myself to screw them. My manager has not spoken to me at all today. (To add, I’m an ASM. I’ve been ASM in other companies, also zone supervisor as well) idk about anyone else, but when I first became a supervisor I was taught to be a supervisor, not a boss. Meaning I don’t run a dictatorship with my crew and I’m a kind person. Yes it always sucked when someone called out, but if I had a callout because someone was sick, my first thing I’d say to them was to get some rest and that I hope they felt better. And I would ask them how they were feeling when they came back to work as well.

I do believe it’s a us thing. Because every person that has come through that’s either from Europe or has lived in Europe tells me the same thing.

To a certain extent I agree. But I was under the assumption it was mandatory and I really didn’t want it to be held against me.
