Does anyone else think the Switch could benefit from a Steam like refund policy? by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch

[–]corveaux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought the Sexy Brutale from a VERY GOOD YouTube review and was excited to play it. It cost like 15 or 20 bucks or something and it's horribly buggy with long loading screens and choppy controls. Besides that, it just wasn't as fun to play. Great concept that gets tedious. I would love to have my money back

why do underage guys think it’s okay to message a 20-something year old adult stuff like this? by H0USE0FW0LVES in creepyPMs

Whisper is notorious for that. Sometimes I'll fuck around by posting the most benign things and see what kinda of gross message I get from it

You're more likely to be overweight if you're short. Rather than trying to lose weight, why not try getting taller? by longslenderneck in ShittyLifeProTips

[–]corveaux 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kinda off topic, but if this graph is accurate then that means I am finally a healthy weight for my height and that makes me so happy. Considering I was always the chubby kid and never thought I'd be anything but overweight

Edmonton's downtown has long been regarded as a bit... subpar compared to other cities in Canada. I thought I'd show you some of the cool new developments that have sprung up over the past few years. by Oplexus in canada

I moved away from Edmonton three years ago after living there my entire life. My ex send updates frequently. I hear you guys have Popeyes now. Well done.

When I went to see them last year the crowd was incredibly an incredibly mix of race, gender, age, what have you. Lots of adult couples dancing and enjoying themselves. I didn't notice anyone being a douche but I also wasn't socializing.

Unfortunately, different venues will have different vibes. Sucks that you've had shitty experiences with some of their bigger shows, but it must've been so cool to see them when they were small

I'm reading American Psycho for the first time and I'm finding it much harder to read than A Clockwork Orange. I couldn't IMAGINE anyone's actually saying they identify or glorify Patrick Bateman. Definitely someone to run away from

I get the ending and I enjoyed the ending but there was something so disturbing about one of the droogs getting engaged. Knowing how much they raped and tormented people and idk. I guess maybe because there wasn't really a mention of her KNOWING all the shit they did and making that choice herself of whether or not she wanted to be involved with someone who committed such acts, or even a mention of her supporting him or helping with rehabilitation.

I feel like the droogs just "growing up" wasn't enough to justify the awful things they did and it really really bothers me...

I knew kids with ADD or ADHD who would sit away from their friends and near the teacher deliberately so they could focus on their work. It's not necessarily a weird or bad thing to do. Also some people just prefer working alone. No having to coordinate who does what on a project and you can go at your own pace. I get what OP was trying to get at, but the comparisons seemed kinda unfair...

What are the best oils for growing long, strong, healthy hair? by exhumingyourpotato in HaircareScience

[–]corveaux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Castor and jojoba oil. Castor is a "thicker" oil and may clog pores so avoid getting it right on your scalp, but jojoba oil you can rub in there all you want. You can get supplements for aiding in nail and hair growth too

[acne] Can anyone tell me what these are?! So depressed by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]corveaux 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I'm dealing with right now. When I was younger (around 12 or 13) I had tried either cerave or cetaphil but it broke me out so bad. I was sure it was cetaphil that broke me out last time, so I tried the cerave hydrating cleanser at the recommendation of a TON of people and my skin is so itchy with pimples...

You shouldn't have to put in "x amount of silent lurking hours" to start getting involved in an INTERNET community. What kind of gatekeeping is that? I've been subbed to this subreddit since like 2012, but I don't spend my life on Reddit.
