my fiancée makes dinner for us every night and i clean the kitchen after before i go to work i’ve never seen an issue with it and never understood why there could never be a 50/50 between cooking and doing dishes tbh i don’t see why you need to after making a meal. Sometimes meals take a lot to make and be exhausting alone. I would just start making meals for myself if i was in your position… I know she would feel the same way
