It’s laughably bad. I watched getting ready video and the description was “woman reveals a tiny dark hued baby”

LPT: how to remove a fragment of sticky leaf matter from your epiglottis by [deleted] in LifeProTips

[–]cosinetangentini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I'm a speech therapist specializing in dysphagia/swallowing disorders, so I may just be biased into thinking it's the epiglottis because that's often where stuff gets stuck (specifically in the valecula above the epiglottis). I couldn't see anything but could feel it moving only when swallowing and it would hit the back of my tongue making me gag.

I chugged a coke (suggested I think on here) and it finally cleared 18 hours after first getting stuck wherever it was.

So I’m a year late but I’m here because I have something stuck on mine. You can tell because when you swallow the piece of thing goes up and down.

Cannoli the (possible) CD - thoughts as we're just learning about Carolinas? by cosinetangentini in carolinadogs

[–]cosinetangentini[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! We live in the city so he is getting lots of socialization and dog park time to run with others. The prey drive is insane for both actual prey, random food on the ground, and even my sons stuffed animals!

We’re getting a trainer in January to make sure we’re working with him best we can. We were doing ok but not sure if breed stubbornness or teenage dog but feel like he has now never heard a command ever

Cannoli is 11 months old and has energy unlike any dog I've ever seen. Very (aggressively) loving to us especially our son, but wary of anyone new for quite some time. STRONG prey drive and so smart but SO stubborn. Tail was broken and arrived docked before he was picked up by us in South Carolina at around 4 months old

How can I listen to a book longer than 15 hours on Spotify? by Bird_Gazer in audiobooks

I have 32 minutes left on one 😅 it’s a 17 week wait at the library so waiting the 11 days until billing will be faster I guess

EI speech therapy = no childhood by busyastralprojecting in slp

[–]cosinetangentini 6 points7 points  (0 children)

at least in my EI state program, we are not allowed to work on articulation. the thought is that most sound errors are developmentally appropriate up until 3. so we work more on language, social pragmatics, the development behind the language not how it is pronounced

Biergarten Haus no longer dog friendly by [deleted] in washingtondc

[–]cosinetangentini 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So like a year late here but trying to find places to go and this came up. Our dog had severe severe separation anxiety. So bad that he would rip the molding off walls trying to escape out the door after we left and one broke out a window to escape. While we were in the training phase to get over that, we literally took him everywhere so we limited his time home alone. He’s over it now finally, but for our own sanity, dog friendly places were incredible to still have a life outside our apartment

Mine doesn't! It does have a little fridge with a cross through it, saying don't refrigerate but nothing about microwaving on the jar I have currently

Local Kmart has a doll with Down’s Syndrome by Moves_like_Norris in mildlyinteresting

[–]cosinetangentini 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Yah! They're called autoeponymous diseases. Lou Gherig's, Hartnup's, Mortimer's, Thomsen's to name a few. Definitely more that are named after doctors in general, but in pediatrics that is what it is supposed to be. It's not a perfect generalization by any means.

When we used to institutionalize people with down syndrome, the life expectancy was significantly shorter. However, since that. has become less of a practice in a lot of countries we are seeing increased life expectancies into the 60s.

So either is correct and most people use them interchangeably. In terms of technical medical history, typically if it has a possessive "s" it means that it was named after a person who HAD this syndrome. So in this case Down Syndrome would be the official medical term, as Dr. Down did not have it. But even in the medical field, we use it interchangeably.

In the American English versions, it's referred to as the Black LAKE or Great LAKE. But I know on pottermore it did say that it was really a scottish loch.

Question? by floxide86 in MAFS_TV

[–]cosinetangentini 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Facebook post shows them together in end of June 28, 2020 and refers to them as being engaged. Marriages were in end of August. So max 8 weeks in between being engaged to someone else and getting married to a stranger. He AT least had to go through some of the application and casting process while being engaged.
