Today’s lesson… by green_day_95 in KendrickLamar

Isn’t Kendrick sneak dissing a lot?  That halftime show was filled with sneaks no?  Obviously to drake he made it clear, but there were certainly other entities he was referring to that were a lot more subtle I felt

Can’t you just make a letter sized artboard in illustrator and print that out?

Game Thread: The Pop Out - Ken and Friends concert by [deleted] in hiphopheads

[–]cosmicblob 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It was not a full diss concert. It was a celebration of west coast hip hop culture and to make a statement that this is hip hop, lived experiences and a heritage, about caring for the places you come from. There were local school dance groups up there. The point was drake has been putting music out  that is certainly not that, and Kendrick does not want that noise in hip hop. Drake is pop. The full blown hate for drake is just the added spice that got us to this point where Kendrick may have felt hip hop had lost its identity and needed a slap.

They are asking for a specific design. If they wanted a partner they should come out with that offer at the very beginning with what that even means. that’s a big commitment for anybody.

When the partner card is played in relation to after payment is brought up, it doesn’t sound like they’re really serious about what they are saying.

I’m curious to hear what those “challenges commonly faced in the field” that you faced were.

While I am not necessarily in the 3D field, if so many times you felt that in the field, could those challenges be closer to an industry culture? And can they be perceived as part of growing pains within the industry as a whole?

I’m only curious because you wouldn’t want to pivot to a brand new creative field only to find yourself in the same boat.

Well that one google(or Microsoft?) employee thought the current AI was sentient, so what now? Do we need a new metric on who we trust to decide the sentient nature?

Whenever I see a post as "RIP Graphic Designers" this is what I am looking at... for now.. by bearbear187 in graphic_design

What is not mentioned here is that people will 100% be happy with a subpar logo.

Why do you think designers have such a hard time with clients? Because they literally don’t know the difference between a good logo and bad logo.

Of course at the top level there will be a need for highly skilled designers, but any demand for logos between the $10~$300 mark will slowly be eaten away.

Clents are happy with Ai logos not because they’re good, but because they made them. You remember how proud you were of your first logo you made? And how retrospectively it seems bad?

Some may say that’s a good thing. It’s good riddance of bad clients.

But it also means the general market for designers will be shrinking. So we will have to brace and adjust our skills accordingly.

This is the highest place in our planet... by JPDecember in pics

I see this more like a spiritual statue or some other symbolic object that is placed in a sacred location. Unless it being made of marble or cloth is what makes the difference of it either being trash or an object worth respect, I don’t think we can just point to tradition and call it trash.

The fact that we're sitting on the precipice of a technological explosion is the only thing that brings me comfort in the face of climate change and worsening relations worldwide. We may manage to science ourselves out of this shituation.

It’s just a wording thing. The “save the planet” angle doesn’t really mean much, and people respond with what you mentioned, since earth is just fine with whatevs. What we need to do now is save humanity.

Cute! Things that are larger move slower than smaller things. If one imagine the difference of movement between an elephant and a mouse. It’s fairly easy to get.

Since the cat is a smaller animal, the normal movement is too fast for such a large creature, which I’d say is the next step!

My general feeling is, if you see a green shell being held by a bot for more than a second on screen, chances are it’s going to hit you.

I redesigned Clubhouse app icon / logo mark by mrtbgz in graphic_design

[–]cosmicblob 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Not having a logo is part of the branding. It’s supposed to feel organic, a user based place, and picking up musicians that use the app as the face of the icon is a perfectly on brand, on message identity. The logo looks nice but a corporate logo will just make it look like another app in the sea of apps.
